The end of the semester has arrived! Teachers have been working on completing report cards and report card comments. Report cards will be available on Infinite Campus (IC) on February 5th. Please take a moment to celebrate your child's accomplishments, both big and small. Whether it's mastering new concepts, making new friends, or doing great things in specials, every achievement is important!
Our dedicated teachers and support staff create such a positive learning environment for all of our Stars! We are so lucky to have a school filled with amazing individuals who care so deeply about our Cushing Stars and work to provide amazing experiences for them.
As we move into the second semester, we are excited about the continued learning and growth that we know that we will see! Our families play such an integral role in fostering a positive and thriving school community! Thank you for your continued support. We had an amazing first semester and we are looking forward to an even more amazing second semester! Thank you for entrusting us with the education of your child. We are truly grateful to work with such wonderful families.

5th Grade Musical
As we prepare for the upcoming Pirates the Musical, we wanted to reach out and share that we have created an Amazon wish list to make it easier for those who are interested in supporting the concert. The wish list includes various supplies and props that our 5th-grade students will need for their performance. If you or anyone you know would like to contribute, please feel free to check out the wish list. Your generosity would greatly enhance the experience for our students.

Kids Heart Challenge
Kids Heart Challenge is coming the week of February 5th-9th at Cushing. Mr. Cuda will be teaching students jump rope skills to get ready for the BIG event.

Cushing Winter Jam - 100 Years of Music!
Friday, February 9 | 5:30-7:30pm
Join us for a fun all school DANCE, Games in the Activity Center, Give-aways, delicious food from local vendors, and the always popular Classroom Basket Raffle.
All students will receive 5 raffle tickets for the Classroom Basket, given out the week of February 5th...and a fun Giveaway on Friday, February 9th.
We are looking forward to a fun family event celebrating 100 Days of School!
This is a fun family event, all children must be accompanied by an adult!
The Waukesha Spring session of Healing Hearts will be starting soon. The 12 week session starts on Monday, Feb 5 and runs until April 22, 2024.
Children will find care, support, and healing through age-based peer support groups while parents/guardians participate in a peer support group specifically for them.

If you live in the Kettle Moraine School District and have concerns about your child ages 3 and 5 years old, who has not yet attended kindergarten, consider scheduling a free screening. The District Early Childhood Team facilitates a screening with a variety of play-based activities to assess communication, gross and fine motor skills, social/emotional development, and pre-academic skills. For youth boys and girls, we will be getting a much needed (and frequently requested) uniform upgrade. This includes not only new uniforms, but also a practice pinnie and shooter shirt in each pack. Sign up now and watch for details on attending a Try-On event in the near future to get a new uniform that fits properly. If you don’t sign up, you may miss this information for the Try-On fitting event.

Aerobics
Need that extra push to get started on an exercise program? Make it easy by joining the longest running aerobics class in the Lake Country area. Virtual Spanish Programs Offered
Do you want to warm up your Spanish language skills this season? If so- join our convenient evening Live Virtual class this spring. Weight Training

American Sign Language ASL 1A
Introduces American Sign Language (ASL) to students with no previous experience with ASL. Emphasizes the expressive and receptive conversational skills of ASL used by the Deaf community. Students will learn strategies on how to introduce themselves, colors, and numbers 0 - 15. Includes introduction to American Deaf culture. All ages welcome, students under 16 must be accompanied by a parent throughout the entire class time. Class will be held on Tuesdays in February.
