Yearbooks
Click HERE to order your yearbook. The deadline to order is April 1.  All yearbooks will be handed out at school at the end of the year.  

If you can’t remember if you ordered a yearbook at the beginning of the school year, reach out to Mrs. Mirek.  Even if you’re 99.9% sure you placed an order, it doesn’t hurt to reach out just to be on the safe side.

Cold Weather & Recess
If you’re wondering if you should still send snow gear to school during COLD weather...The quick answer to that is YES.  Here are the reasons:

Winter Gear Rules

All Grades: Please make sure all outdoor clothing is labeled with your child(ren)'s name. Lots of students have black snow pants. :)  Bringing hats, mittens, and gloves every day is a good idea, too.

Snow Gear MUST go home every day.  We need to keep the hallways clear for our evening cleaning crew. Plus, wet snow gear doesn’t dry well at Cushing (it can get smelly, too). 

5K-3rd Grade: Snow Pants AND boots must be worn to play in the snow.  If a student forgets their snow gear, they will stay on the blacktop for recess. This can cause lots of tears, so please remind your student to bring their snow gear to school every day once the snow starts falling.

4th & 5th Grade:  Boots are required, Snow Pants are optional for recess.

SAVE THE DATE! Our Winter All Stars Jam, an all-sports themed family fun event, is Friday, February 6, 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.! Gather your kids' favorite team jerseys or KM/Cushing spiritwear and join us for a night full of games and activities, food, our beloved classroom basket raffle, and tons of fun!

We need your help filling the baskets. Please refer to the classroom themes below, if you would like to contribute. You can start sending donations to school with your Cushing Star now. You may also drop off at the front office, but please email Ann Mirek (mireka@kmsd.edu) prior to delivering items. If you’re stumped with a basket donation idea, gift cards are always a great alternative. Thank you for your support!

Baskets will be raffled off the night of the event (you do not need to be present to win). All students will receive 5 tickets for classroom baskets and are able to purchase additional tickets through advanced sales and the night of the event.

Learn more about four-year-old kindergarten in the Kettle Moraine School District! This annual event is fun and informative for young learners and their families. Kettle Moraine’s 4K program strives to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning! Providing this programming to our community is an integral way to connect our youngest learners and families to our school district and prepare them for Kindergarten. The open house format features booths from each of our elementary sites and wrap-around care partners, allowing you to find the right option for your family. Weight Training Grades 5-8

With Futura Language Professionals, we offer a wide variety of in person or live virtual Spanish lessons for youth and adults in our community.  From beginner to advanced levels we have  multiple options.  You will receive dynamic interactive lessons.  All classes are listed online at https://kmsd.revtrak.net/rwcommunityeducation/

American Sign Language 1A
Introduces American Sign Language (ASL) to students with no previous experience with ASL. Emphasizes the expressive and receptive conversational skills of ASL used by the Deaf community. Students will learn strategies on how to introduce themselves, colors, and numbers 0 - 15.
