MESSAGE FROM MRS. RACH

Hi Cushing families! So far this month, many of our conversations at Cushing have revolved around friendship, positivity, and kindness. As a school team, our focus is on highlighting positive interactions observed here at Cushing. Research shows that groups do their best work when the ratio of positive to negative interactions is at least 3 to 1. When positivity rises even higher, to 4-6 positives for every 1 negative, that's when teams thrive.

As a staff here at Cushing, we focus on achieving a ratio of highlighting 5 positives for every 1 negative, recognizing that acknowledged behavior is more likely to be repeated. We understand that balanced feedback, along with support, fosters a motivating environment for all. At Cushing, we are working towards that motivating environment by spreading positivity and kindness through positive interactions.

5th Grade Musical
As we prepare for the upcoming Pirates the Musical, we wanted to reach out and share that we have created an Amazon wish list to make it easier for those who are interested in supporting the concert. The wish list includes various supplies and props that our 5th-grade students will need for their performance. If you or anyone you know would like to contribute, please feel free to check out the wish list. Your generosity would greatly enhance the experience for our students.

Thank you for your continued support, and please reach out if you have any questions.
