Hello families!
At today’s all-school assembly, we are learning about what it means to think flexibly. Flexible thinking helps us adapt to new situations, handle change, and stay open to different ideas. Here are some ways we can practice flexible thinking:
Being okay when plans change.
Trying new things with a positive attitude.
Solving problems and considering others' ideas.
We are also looking ahead to our Science Day in May. You can hear more details about the new updates with our upcoming Science Day in my weekly message, and the link to the speaker form can be found in the "Cushing News" section below.

Help Wanted: Science Day Presenters
We will be hosting our annual Science Day in the morning of Wednesday, May 14th for grades 3-5 at Cushing. We are looking for volunteers to run various science themed stations. Interested participants are asked to create an engaging presentation and/or activity that lasts 45 minutes. There will be 2 rotations, so presenters will do their presentation twice.

PRESCHOOL SCREENINGS - MARCH 7
Parents are a child’s first teacher and are key to a child’s overall growth. The Kettle Moraine School District strives to establish partnerships with families early in a child’s development to ensure the best opportunity for success when a child enters school.
If you live in the Kettle Moraine School District and have concerns about your child who is between the ages 3 and 5 years old and has not yet attended kindergarten, consider scheduling a free screening. The District Early Childhood Team will facilitate a screening where each child will participate in a variety of play-based activities to assess communication, gross and fine motor skills, social/emotional development, and pre-academic skills.

KM Lacrosse Registration 2025 Season
Lacrosse Spring registration is open to all KM students. The season runs from March through June with games on the weekend and practice twice a week. To register please use the link below. Also, visit KMLacrosse.com for more information.

Fall 2025 Youth Boys and Girls Volleyball Season
Boys and girls entering grades 5-8 in the fall of 2025 are eligible to participate in the league. Practices are held twice per week August-October with league play on the weekends in the GMYVB League. Tryouts will be held 5/15/25 and 5/19/25 from 6:30-8:30pm at the KMHS Gym.
Students entering grades 1-4 in the fall of 2025 are encouraged to join our mini league on Friday nights for volleyball instruction, fun and games.
