MESSAGE FROM MRS. RACH

Hi Families!

As the weather gets warmers, we wanted to share some opportunities for learning that the great outdoors has to offer. With spring seemingly knocking on our door, it’s a great time to have some outdoor adventures.  Here’s just a few suggestions for outdoor learning that you and your family might consider enjoying together:

  • Visit the Cushing Nature Trail: Our nature trail is near our new pavilion and we welcome everyone who wishes to explore it with open arms! We think our new playground is pretty neat too!

  • Take Reading Outside: Create a cozy outdoor reading nook with blankets, cushions, and a basket of books. Encourage your children to choose books about nature, animals, or any other adventures to read aloud or enjoy independently.

  • Scavenger Hunts: Organize scavenger hunts with different themed clues and challenges. Some of our favorites include alphabet scavenger hunts where we look for objects outside that start with each letter of the alphabet. For example, "A" could be an acorn, "B" could be a bird, and so on. We also like shape and color scavenger hunts!

  • Play Games: We love imaginative games just as much as we love games like four square and tag. Movement is awesome!

  • Nature Journaling: Record observations and drawings of plants, animals, and other things you come across during outdoor exploration. Encourage kiddos to write descriptions and ask questions about what they see.

Outdoor learning is educational and promotes physical activity, reduces stress, and fosters a deeper connection with the world around us. So, grab your favorite outdoor clothes and try out some outdoor learning adventures together!

Happy exploring and Go Stars!

5th Grade Musical
As we prepare for the upcoming Pirates the Musical, we wanted to reach out and share that we have created an Amazon wish list to make it easier for those who are interested in supporting the concert. The wish list includes various supplies and props that our 5th-grade students will need for their performance. If you or anyone you know would like to contribute, please feel free to check out the wish list. Your generosity would greatly enhance the experience for our students.

Thank you for your continued support, and please reach out if you have any questions.

KM LACROSSE LAX BLAST FUNDRAISER - MARCH 16

KM Lacrosse is holding their annual Lax Blast Fundraiser on March 16th. It’s our largest fundraiser and benefits all lacrosse players - youth through high school, both boys and girls. Last year was a record year and with that, we’re able to fund multiple items impacting all our players - from new uniforms and player packs for our youth boys and girls to high school girls uniforms and gloves for all high school boys, with alternate helmets for varsity. In addition, funds raised go towards maintenance, goals, balls and other equipment, to name a few.

Join the fun, meet other club parents and friends and build a strong support structure and sense of family around our players so we can continue to benefit the boys and girls of KM Lacrosse now and into the future.
