MESSAGE FROM MRS. RACH

It's a busy and fun time of year here at Cushing for our Stars! From field trips to engaging presentations with authentic audiences like our biography projects, authors showcase and our upcoming American Revolution Museum, our students have many opportunities to showcase their learning and creativity.

This week our second graders showcased their writing and speaking skills by presenting their mixed up fairy tales to their buddy classes while our third graders launched their fractions unit with a fictitious pizza parlor. Our committed staff work hard to provide a variety of learning experiences that spark curiosity and excitement in our students. We're grateful for your ongoing support in nurturing a love for learning within our school community at home. Below are just a few photos from the events and activities.

Tutoring Program Led By HS Students
Hello! My name is Madeline and I am a junior in KM Global. I have loved math my whole life, and as part of a project I'm working on for school, I want to start a tutoring program that will allow younger students to get the help they need. If you are the parent of an elementary or middle school student, I would love your feedback! Thank you so much!

Bridge To Brighter Update
Our 5th-grade Cushing Stars did a great job researching and creating donation materials for the Bridge to Brighter Foundation. The Bridge to Brighter Foundation helps young men who have aged out of the foster care system. This foundation provides young men with a place to live while they learn how to get a job and go to school. Additionally, they teach these men life skills like how to grocery shop, take care of themselves, and budget their money.

After a week, we have gathered a handful of materials. Please consider donating materials that are listed below.

5th Grade Musical
As we prepare for the upcoming Pirates the Musical, we wanted to reach out and share that we have created an Amazon wish list to make it easier for those who are interested in supporting the concert. The wish list includes various supplies and props that our 5th-grade students will need for their performance. If you or anyone you know would like to contribute, please feel free to check out the wish list. Your generosity would greatly enhance the experience for our students.

Thank you for your continued support, and please reach out if you have any questions.

KM LACROSSE LAX BLAST FUNDRAISER - MARCH 16

KM Lacrosse is holding their annual Lax Blast Fundraiser on March 16th. It’s our largest fundraiser and benefits all lacrosse players - youth through high school, both boys and girls. Last year was a record year and with that, we’re able to fund multiple items impacting all our players - from new uniforms and player packs for our youth boys and girls to high school girls uniforms and gloves for all high school boys, with alternate helmets for varsity. In addition, funds raised go towards maintenance, goals, balls and other equipment, to name a few.

Join the fun, meet other club parents and friends and build a strong support structure and sense of family around our players so we can continue to benefit the boys and girls of KM Lacrosse now and into the future.
