Hello Cushing families!
As we head into Spring Break, I wanted to wish everyone a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable week off. Whether you are traveling or enjoying some downtime around town, I hope you find plenty of time to recharge. We look forward to seeing all our students back at Cushing when classes resume on Tuesday, April 7. We have a busy and exciting month ahead when we return! Just a few highlights to look forward to in April include: 4th Grade Field Trip to Camp Whitcomb, our next Family Movie Night and our Celebration of Learning on Thursday, April 23 when we’ll showcase and celebrate our students' hard work
Before we break, I wanted to also share a highlight from this past week. We are so proud of our 5th graders for their hard work on their American Revolution Museum artifacts and presentations. This was an authentic way to conclude their most recent learning in Social Studies. Thank you to all the family members and friends who came to visit the museum and celebrate their success! If you missed it, you’ll have another chance to see their talent soon, the artifacts they created will be showcased at the Waukesha County Historical Society!
Enjoy the break, and we will see you soon.
Shine bright, Stars!

We have met some wonderful district parents and gathered information that has helped inform us on our priorities as we finish this school year and plan for the next

Zumba + Lift
All the fun of Zumba® with resistance training mixed in! Zumba + Lift® blends the fun, low-impact dance fitness you love with simple strength training using light weights (about 5–10 lbs, though, this is up to you and your fitness level). We will alternate between Zumba® routines and dumbbell weight training throughout the entire class to build strength in our major muscle groups. Start with the weights that you feel comfortable with, and add additional weight over time. Please bring your own set of weights, either 2, 5, or 10 lbs. The goal of these classes is to get stronger in a progressive manner. Classes are held this spring on Tuesdays and Thursdays, sign up today at https://kmsd.revtrak.net/rwcommunityeducation/
