Volunteer Opportunities

  • Garden Help: We're looking for a parent volunteer or volunteers to help organize a team to care for our school garden this spring and summer.

  • Design Lab: Interested in organizing or supporting our Design Lab space? Whether for a one-time clean-up or regular support, we’d love your help fostering creativity and hands-on learning.

Please reach out to me if you’re interested in either opportunity!

Enjoy the weekend and shine bright, Stars!

Menu Change - Monday, April 14
Choice #1 on Monday, April 14 will be Waffle Sticks & Sausage.  NOT Dutch Waffle & Bacon as listed on the printed menu.

Celebration of Learning - Thursday, April 24
Our Celebration of Learning will be held Thursday, April 24th from 3:15-4:45. Students are excited to share their learning with you! Since our staff need time to set up for the event and there is no student supervision after dismissal, we ask families to pick their students up via Car Line or have their students take their bus home at the end of the school day. Students cannot stay at school and wait for their families.

25-26 Calendar
Here is the 2025-26 school calendar. We’re sharing this in advance with our families to assist in planning future vacations and pre-planned student absences during the next school year. Please reach out to Mrs. Rach if you have any questions about school attendance.

Lost & Found
We have a lot of Lost items waiting to be Found.  If your child(ren) is missing something, there’s a real good chance it’s in our Lost & Found.  The next time you’re at Cushing, swing by to see if anything belongs to your family. Parents seem to have the magic touch with finding lost items.  Anything left after the end of the school year will be donated.

Class Placement Information for Next Year
The teams at Cushing take time to carefully balance all classrooms for the next school year.  They take gender, behavior, academics, and special needs into account.  If you have thoughts you would like us to consider about your child that we don’t already know, please complete THIS FORM.  Form(s) need to be submitted by May 2 for your information to be considered.

New this year: we will have the Children's Entrepreneur Market at DelaSpring. The Children’s Entrepreneur Market is an award-winning program that teaches young people about the power of entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership through experiential learning. Kids rise to the challenge of deciding what to sell, creating a booth, talking to customers, and handling money.
