KM Deca food drive

KM DECA Annual Food Drive!

The annual food drive for KM DECA began on Tuesday, October 15th, and runs until Monday, October 28th this year.

The drive has been happening annually at Kettle Moraine High School for over 50 years and we have expanded its positive effects on our community since then. Students who are a part of DECA or who are in one of Mr. Dellis' marketing classes have the opportunity to give back to their community by distributing bags for food donations in nearby neighborhoods and then collecting the filled bags to be transported to Waukesha Food Pantry to help those in need.

We are very thankful to Pick 'N Save for providing the bags we use for collection and Target for providing the trailer that transports the food to Waukesha Food Pantry.

Last year we collected 10,000 pounds of food and this year our goal is to collect 11,000 pounds!

One important aspect of our DECA chapter is community service and the annual food drive is one of our many service activities.

Stay tuned for our Holiday Drive coming soon!

Boys JV2 Soccer Wins Their Last Game!

The Boys JV2 Soccer Team beat Waukesha South 5-3 last night on goals scored by Jack Montes de Oca, Sam Schlueter (captain) and Thomas Smart. The high point of the game came in the second half when Montes de Oca dribbled around five opposing players in the box and passed the ball in past a bewildered defense.

The other captains for the game were Emmett McGoldrick and Sawyer Russart.

Congratulations on a strong finish to the season & Go Lasers!

KMSD UPDATES

auditorium

Name That Auditorium!

Our auditorium renovation is nearing completion, and it is time to start thinking about naming this beautiful venue.

While we have a generous naming sponsor, they hope that our students have ownership of the project and select the name. So we are calling on our KM Community to start the process by submitting your naming suggestions. The submission process will close on November 20th. Then, our team will narrow the options to a group of preferred names for students to vote on.

The final name will be unveiled at our grand opening early next year.

Submit your naming ideas here!

We Have Seats… And So Can You!

We recently installed seats and carpeting in our revamped auditorium!

It is no secret that facility upgrades are both necessary and costly. We partnered with our KM Community through a facilities sponsorship program to help make these upgrades possible. One such opportunity is the Buy a Seat Campaign: for $300 per seat you can make a one-time commitment that will help fund our new auditorium.

The district and our local community will widely use this facility, and all seat sponsors will receive permanent recognition of your contribution on a plaque. The campaign will be first-come-first-served and will expire when all seats are sold.

To learn more about the project, visit our site at https://www.kmsd.edu/o/kmsd/page/fine-arts-fund. To purchase a seat visit https://kettle-moraine-fine-arts-fund.square.site.

Thank you for supporting our students and community!
