As our winter weather approaches us, please:
Remove ice and snow from all windows, mirrors, and lights
Do not drive too fast for the conditions
Use your headlights
Don’t use cruise control as you need to maintain control of acceleration and deceleration at all times
Remember 4-wheel drive doesn’t work on ice
Give yourself extra time to drive to and from school safely.

Key Club will be hosting a winter blood drive on Friday, January 12th. Please consider making an appointment to donate that day.
We chose to use the Red Cross because they have a scholarship program based on how many pints we collect during the year. We combine with Student Senate drives, and last year we received $1,000 that we awarded to students. The more successful donations, the higher the award!
Thank you for considering, please let Mrs. Gill gilla@kmsd.edu know if you have any questions.
CLICK HERE to schedule an appointment.
Do not leave your computer in the car overnight when it’s below freezing! Below-freezing temperatures can cause permanent battery and LCD screen damage.
Bringing a cold computer into a warm environment can cause condensation inside the device. Condensation inside your computer can cause additional damage to hard drives and other components.
If you do forget and leave your computer in freezing temperatures do not use it right away. Allow your computer to slowly come to room temperature again before powering it on.
School computer warranties do not cover replacement batteries and only cover damaged screens once.
If so, we have a scholarship opportunity for you - the Wisconsin Technical Excellence Scholarship.

Please fill out this Google Form by TODAY, February 9, 2024, if you meet the above criteria.

High school students are invited to explore academics and college life at UW–Madison.
Each summer, Badger Precollege offers a variety of opportunities designed to inspire high school students in course subjects ranging from art, law, and psychology to forensics, health sciences, and computer science.
Badger Precollege programs also help students prepare for college success, experience life as a Badger, and meet new friends — all while living and learning at the top-ranked UW–Madison.
They are now accepting applications for summer 2024! Please share the programs listed below with any student who is interested in learning more about college life and wants to spend their summer learning and making lifelong friends. Need-based scholarships are available for most programs.
All of our programs will be getting new items this year, so everyone must sign up before January 31st.
For high school boys and girls, keep an eye out for information coming from your head coaches on what’s new for you.
We will be getting a much-needed (and frequently requested) uniform upgrade for youth boys and girls. This includes not only new uniforms but also a practice pinnie and shooter shirt in each pack. Sign up now and watch for details on attending a Try-On event soon to get a new uniform that fits properly. If you don’t sign up, you may miss this information for the Try-On fitting event.
For those who are new to lacrosse, you of course will benefit from new items as well. The season begins in early March and runs through early June with practices twice a week. Send us a note for more information: kettlemorainelacrosse@gmail.com
