BEST BUDDIES

Best Buddies is excited to host their next event, a Game Day, on Wednesday, January 22nd. The event will run from 2:45 - 3:30 in the 7th Inspire open area! Get ready to hang out with your buddies, play some games, and win some fun prizes! 

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL

Are you interested in playing high school football? There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 19 at 7:30pm at the high school auditorium.

KMMS STAFF APPRECIATION/TEACHER CONFERENCE MEAL

It's time again to show the teachers and staff how much they are appreciated! We will be providing a meal for all staff to enjoy on Thursday February 13 which is the afternoon of teacher conferences. If you would like to contribute please sign up HERE.

JANUARY FIRE DRILL

Students…please come to school prepared with outdoor gear (coat, gloves, etc).  We are looking to have our January Fire Drill on Friday afternoon.  There are many of you that are coming to school without a coat and some are in shorts and a t-shirt!!  Please dress appropriately for the Wisconsin weather.

KMMS ALL SCHOOL ASSEMBLY COMING UP

Our first all-school assembly will be on the afternoon of Friday, January 24. We will be having a Dodgeball Tournament. There will be three 10-minute games:

  • 6th grade will compete against Create

Then 

  • 7th grade will challenge the 8th grade

The winners from the first two competitions will compete for the championship!!!

23 students will be needed from each house. Are you willing to represent?

To volunteer, complete the Google form from your House teacher.  ONLY VOLUNTEER if you are willing to be in front of the whole school.

Make sure you dress in your team colors:

  • 6th Blue

  • 7th White

  • 8th Black

  • Create Yellow/Gold

3rd ANNUAL LASER LADIES OF STEM EVENT

These are the final weeks to sign up for the 3rd annual Laser Ladies of STEM event. To any girls grades 6-8, come and join us Thursday evening, February 6th for STEM activities that are fun, new experiences with cool prizes. The final day to sign up for this is January 31. So register now! There is a link in the announcements to sign up and you can contact Mrs. Olson with any questions.

GALS INSTITUTE - NAVIGATING DIVORCE AND SEPARATION WORKSHOP ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 18TH IN HARTLAND

Do you know anyone who is going through a separation or divorce who has kids? This one-session group helps kids develop essential skills to cope and heal. Through engaging activities and discussions, they will learn to express their emotions, build resilience, and realize they are not alone. Our supportive counselors create a space for them to gain confidence and connect with peers facing similar challenges.  There are sessions for ages 9-11 and 12-14.  For more information on this group, go here: https://www.galsinstitute.com/workshops

MS SPANISH CLASS OFFERED

In this virtual class, students will learn essential fundamentals to build a strong base in the Spanish language.  Months of the year, telling time, present tense verb conjugations and sentence structure are just a few of the topics covered!

KMMS MUSICAL STAGE CREW

Applications for the Willy Wonka Jr stage crew are now open. There are opportunities for both backstage crew as well as artistic crew. If you are interested in participating you can apply via the Google form found in the daily announcements doc. Applications will close on Friday, January 17th. See Ms. Milton in the choir room (111) with any questions.

Love reading? Join us in the library on Fridays after lunch instead of heading to recess! Just grab a purple pass from the office, bring your favorite book, and enjoy some quiet reading time in the library.

9TH GRADE CHARTER SCHOOLS APPLICATION WINDOW

Attention 8th graders who are interested in attending KM Global, KM Perform, High School of Health Sciences (HS^2), or KM Connect next year!  The early enrollment application window runs from January 2 at 7:00PM until January 17 at noon.  To apply, go to the website of the school of your choice, click the ENROLL button on the top of the page, and complete the application with your parents. This process should be completed at home with a parent, not at school.

KM FORENSICS TEAM

You are invited to join the KM Forensic Team, where students learn to speak with conviction. Whether performing a dramatic monologue or delivering a persuasive speech, this team helps us build communication skills with confidence and clarity. Through practice and competition, we gain the tools to express ideas with passion and precision. It’s a place to grow, find your voice, and make an impact—because every argument we make and story we tell has the power to shape the world around us.

LEARNING LAB

Learning lab is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:45 - 4:00 in the library. All students not going to the Learning lab must have rides arriving prior to 3pm. Only those students may wait in the vestibule just inside the front doors.
