Good morning, KMMS students! The results are in and we are ready to announce the name of the new learning environment for next school year. We had a total of 782 votes that came from 505 students, 52 staff members, and 225 parents. Of those 782 votes, only 14 votes was the difference - 384 votes for Empower as compared to 398 votes for Inspire, making Inspire our winner and new learning environment name.
To celebrate the new name, we want to hear from students about why they voted for Inspire, but even if you didn’t vote for Inspire, we’d love to hear how the word Inspire resonates with our students. We are asking students to provide us with some of their inspiring thoughts. Teachers will have a Google Form for students that has 5 questions. Please pick at least 2 of the questions to answer and write 1-3 sentence responses that are concise, well-written, and positive. The target audience is the Kettle Moraine Community (parents, fellow students, staff, and future KM families). Students whose quotes are selected for KMMS newsletters and social media will be entered in a drawing to win KM gear.
We are very proud of our students and staff for all of their work to make Discover, Navigate, and Create remarkable environments for students to learn for many years. While we sunset Navigate and Discover, we want to take the last semester of this school year to appreciate and celebrate the teachers and the students of these environments, and recognize all of their hard work. Moving forward, we are thrilled to have Inspire and Create, two learning environments, one middle school, one KM. It’s a great day to be a Laser.
It’s a great day… to be a LASER!
