New Ambassadors: If you are a 6th grade or New Ambassador, you have a meeting at 2:00 today with Mrs. Cowan, meet in the cafeteria.

All Ambassadors: There is a Kindness Crusaders Meeting tomorrow after school until 3:30 in Ms. Cuzman's room, rm 701. Bring your markers if you have them. If you have any questions ask Ms. Cuzman or Mrs. Cowan

Attention Best Buddies members-You should have received an email from Mrs. Daley last week regarding a Peer Buddy training Wednesday, October 15th from 2:45-3:15. We will meet in Mrs. Daley's room-room 711. This is for members who have officially registered for Best Buddies as a Peer Buddy. Please reach out to Mrs. Daley (daleyc@kmsd.edu) with any questions and if you have not already officially signed up for Best Buddies, make sure to do that so you don't miss out on our upcoming fun! LYBA basketball registration is now open. This recreational program offered to grades 6-8 will have one day a week practices with games on Saturday mornings at the Middle School. Register online at https://kmsd.revtrak.net/rwcommunityeducation/

The Patriot’s Pen scholarship is available to ALL students in grades 6-8 and is sponsored by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Oconomowoc. To apply for this scholarship, you must write a 300-400 word essay on the topic, “How are you showing patriotism and support for our country?”  You must also pick up an application flyer in the front office.

New this year: applications are submitted online using the QR code found on the flyer. You do not need to mail anything to the VFW Post.

Many winners nationwide will be selected, with at least one winner from each state receiving a prize of $500 or more.  In addition to the prizes at the State and National level, the local Oconomowoc post offers prizes for 1st ($100), 2nd ($50) and 3rd ($25) place.  Your application and essay must be submitted online by October 31.  With questions, please feel free to contact your school counselor (Mr. Korb or Mrs. Cowan).

This Tuesday is the last day to sign up for the Laser Ladies of STEM event that will take place next week October 21st from 6-8pm. This is a BreakerSpace event that gives ladies a chance to take things apart to then make something new!  If you're signed up, please check your email for information regarding Food Pantry donations. This allows us to wrap our arms around our community while having fun!

KM Football would like to announce our Green Bay Packer/Ski/Golf Raffle!  We have an exciting opportunity to win three different great prizes through a generous donation from a KM Football Family. Each ticket is $30 and all proceeds benefit  KM Football. The winners will be drawn on 10/17/25 on the last KM Varsity Football Game during halftime.  You DO NOT need to be present to win. Please feel free to share the link with family and friends, and post to social media.  The more tickets we sell the better as all proceeds will go directly to KM Football.

First Prize: Packer Tickets: 4 outdoor club seats for the Monday November 10th game against the Philadelphia Eagles

Second Prize: Ski Package: 4 lift tickets to Ausblick Ski Hill in Sussex. On date TBD between donor and winner, accompanied by donor. Includes 1 day ski rental from Les Moise Brookfield (if necessary) for 4. Lunch for 4. Private group lesson from certified instructor

Third Prize: Golf Package: Threesome golf outing, including refreshments at one of the Legend courses, accompanied by the donor. Date TBD between donor and winner (must be used by the end of the 2025 golf season, or Legends dinner for up to 8 before the end of 2025, or threesome of golf at comparable course in 2026)

The National History Day club is a great way to make friends, and explore history through your own interests. If you are interested, or have any questions, you can ask Mr. Harrison. Meetings take place on Wednesdays in Mr. Harrison's room, 601, directly after school until 4:00.

Get involved in after school activities.  The Student Senate wants you! Senate is a great place to develop leadership skills, make new friends and help to plan some of the fun all school activities. We meet twice a month on Tues. and Wed.  As a member, you can attend as many meetings as you are able. We meet in Mrs. McCaffery’s room from 2:45 - 4:00. We have Homecoming to plan-- we need lots of folk!

Love reading? Join us in the library on Fridays after lunch instead of heading to recess! Just grab a purple pass from the office, bring your favorite book, and enjoy some quiet reading time in the library.

Learning lab is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:45 - 4:00 in the library. All students not going to the Learning lab must have rides arriving prior to 3pm. Only those students may wait in the vestibule just inside the front doors.
