NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH

October is National Bullying Prevention Month.  According to the KM School Board, bullying can sometimes be motivated by characteristics like the victim’s race, religion, gender, physical appearance, financial status, and more (KMORR 2301).  Treating someone poorly because of an aspect of their identity is against the rules, and it is also just plain wrong.  If you know that this is happening, report it to your trusted adult!  This Friday, we invite everyone to wear pink as a way to show that you are an upstander and want bullying to stop!

MOUNTAIN BIKING TEAM

This past weekend was the last race of the season for the KMMS mountain bike team. Over 1300 student athletes from across the state descended on the Trek Headquarters in Waterloo for the Red Barn Classic. It's quite a special treat for the athletes to be able to ride on Trek's private trails. Their hard work throughout the season paid off, and there were a lot of smiles this weekend. We are very proud of their efforts, and we look forward to seeing them all back next season.

CONGRATS MS CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to the middle school cross country team for an outstanding performance this fall. The girls team placed first at the Oconomowoc end of the season meet by outscoring eight other teams. Congratulations to Kaitlyn M , Kensington N and Cecilia H for a top 15 finish. Our boys team placed fourth out of 10 schools with Collin K and Jacob J coming in within five seconds of each other for a top 15 finish.

Everyone on the team showed improvement from the first race of the season to the last. Keep running and can’t wait to see you again in the spring for track or next fall for cross country again!
