PLEASE STAND FOR THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

KM EQUESTRIAN TEAM

The KM Equestrian Team is heading to State! This is a unique school sports team that includes both middle and high school students. The regional competition is a high-pressure, intense three-day event, with 12–14-hour days filled with competition, horse preparation, and care. Each KM student — four from high school and one from middle school, Julia F  — competed in five different class types, each judged three separate times over the course of the event. Julia brought two horses and competed with both. She placed in all but one of her classes and dominated the Hunter Hack/Jumping classes, earning first place in every round she entered.

The top three teams in each division qualified for State. KMET placed 2nd (Reserve Champions), just 13 points behind first place — securing their spot at the State competition.

The State event will be held October 24th–26th at the Alliant Energy Center. Good luck Julia and the rest of the KM equestrian team!

KMMS MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM

The KMMS mountain bike team made the trip to Rhinelander, WI for the Hodag Hustle this past weekend where over 1000 student athletes from across the state competed on a tough 5-mile course around Camp Tesomas.

We had one 7th grade rider, Nick E, competing. He did a great job riding through hot, dusty, and sandy conditions and finished in 15th position out of 76 riders in his division.

Our final race of the season is at Trek Headquarters in Waterloo, WI on Oct 18-19.
