Tomorrow, KMMS will be recognizing National Children’s Grief Awareness Day. This is a day focused on bringing to mind the students all around us who have experienced the death of a loved one. Students who experience loss typically feel very alone in the journey of grief they travel. One out of five students will face the loss of someone close to them before they graduate high school. Please remember to participate in the fundraising competition to support the work that The Healing Hearts of Waukesha does to help students through their grief. If our school earns a minimum of 300$, the grade level to raise the most amount of money will win an ice cream party. Please wear blue tomorrow as a way of acknowledging and supporting those who have lost someone close to them. We have one final activity to show our support: During lunch tomorrow only, you can write a letter to someone you lost and drop it in the sealed box, which will be located by the memory wall.
Attention all 8th graders and 8th grade teachers. Today is the day of our trip to the high school.

The Student Senate has a time of fun and activities planned for the last hour of the day on Tuesday, November 21. That is right before we head out for Thanksgiving Break. There will be a number of games where grade level teams will be competing against each other and a group of teachers. This week you will have an opportunity to put your name into a lottery to be chosen as one of the students who participates in a game. If you would prefer to watch or will be absent that day, you do not need to complete the Google form. All students who are present that day will come to be a part of the fun, but we do need students to participate in our team games. Watch for your opportunity to apply to play.
