Next week we will kick off our Light in the Darkness fundraiser competition to support our very own KMMS families and students who may experience the loss of a parent or sibling. This fundraiser is held in support of National Children’s Grief Awareness Day, which is observed next week Thursday. Starting on Tuesday, we will have different activities during your lunch period to recognize those who are grieving the loss of a loved one or know of someone who is grieving. One way you can show your support is to donate to our Light in the Darkness fundraiser competition, which starts this Monday and will go until Friday. The money you donate will go towards supporting the families of students who have lost a parent or sibling, or that are suffering from a terminal illness. Money should be turned in to your Laser Hour teacher’s donation box and can be in the form of coins or dollars. Each grade’s winning Laser Hour in Inspire, and the winning laser hour in Create, will receive a mystery prize and our building goal is to raise $500.
