Tomorrow, KMMS will be recognizing National Children’s Grief Awareness Day. This is a day focused on bringing to mind the students all around us who have experienced the death of a loved one. Students who experience loss typically feel very alone in the journey of grief they travel. One out of five students will face the loss of someone close to them before they graduate high school. Please remember to participate in the fundraising competition to support our KMMS students and their families when faced with loss. Please wear blue tomorrow as a way of acknowledging and supporting those who have lost someone close to them. We have one final activity to show our support. During lunch tomorrow, you can write a letter in honor of someone’s memory and drop it in the sealed box, which will be located by the Wall of Support. Writing a letter to someone you loved and miss is a positive way to grow through the grieving process.
