Girls, make sure to sign up and mark your calendar to come to our 3rd annual Laser Ladies of STEM event. It’s happening on Thursday, February 6th, and is open to any girl grades 6-8 who is interested in STEM or just wants to come try it. The night will be full of fun STEM activities, cool prizes, and a ton of new experiences, so make sure to check it out.  Tuesday, for one day only, we will be setting up a table at lunch for any girl who hasn’t already signed up that would like to, we will be up front by the bathrooms. Thank you to all of the girls who have already signed up – be sure to pick up a Laser Ladies of STEM sticker at the table. We are excited to see all of you at the event!

Kettle Moraine Trap and Sporting Clays season is gearing up for 2025! 

We will host our first registration/open house on Thursday, December 5th from 5-7pm in the KM High School library. Our second session will be on Monday, December 9th from 5-7 pm in the High School Library. At this time we will go over what the team is all about and answer any questions. 

We will also be signing up any existing athletes who want to sign up again. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Cyndi Patrick at patrickc@kmsd.edu.

The True Grit award is available to ALL students in grades 6-8 and is sponsored by the Lake Country Optimist Club. To apply for this scholarship, you must write a 300 word minimum essay on the topic of grit. The student who demonstrates the most growth in perseverance, endurance, and resilience through optimism, creativity, and confidence to achieve a desired academic or nonacademic goal, will be awarded a $100 scholarship.  You must pick up a flyer in the front office for more information.  Send your essay and your completed application to Mrs. Cowan or Mr. Korb by Friday, December 6th.

Attention ALL Kettle Moraine Middle School Students

Do you earn good grades?

Do you volunteer in your community?

If you answered yes to these two questions, please consider applying to be Kettle

Moraine Middle School’s nominee for the Carson Scholarship!  This opportunity is open to all students who have a GPA of at least 3.75 (that is, no more than one B in their Math, STEM, Literacy, and Social Studies classes) and have completed community service / volunteer hours.  

If our school’s nominee is chosen by the Carson Scholars Fund to be an award winner, they will receive a $1,000 scholarship invested towards a four-year college or university.  Learn more about the Carson Scholars Fund, including info about the application and selection process HERE.  

Applications can be picked up in the front office.  Please see Mr. Korb or Mrs. Cowan with any questions.

Each applicant will be required to write a short essay.  The applications will be reviewed by a committee to determine our school’s nominee.  Applications are due in the front office by the end of the day on Wednesday, December 11th.

You are invited to join the KM Forensic Team, where students learn to speak with conviction. Whether performing a dramatic monologue or delivering a persuasive speech, this team helps us build communication skills with confidence and clarity. Through practice and competition, we gain the tools to express ideas with passion and precision. It’s a place to grow, find your voice, and make an impact—because every argument we make and story we tell has the power to shape the world around us.

The Student Senate meets after school until 4pm in the 6 Inspire house open area. Our next meeting is Tuesday, December 10th.

Learning lab is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:45 - 4:00 in the library. All students not going to the Learning lab must have rides arriving prior to 3pm. Only those students may wait in the vestibule just inside the front doors.
