Happy Friday and happy February everyone! It is a great day to be a Laser. This week you had the opportunity to vote for the name of the new Learning Environment that starts next school year. 505 of you voted. That is about 70% of our student body that took advantage of the opportunity to be engaged and make an impact. You took advantage of the opportunity to be part of the change, to leave a mark, to have a voice in something that will be part of our school’s history. We have heard from many of you that you were excited to be part of this. You were glad to have had the opportunity. You said it felt good to be part of the decision. It does feel good to join or engage in something that will have a lasting positive impact. You will have more opportunities to be involved and be engaged. I hope you continue to take advantage of them.
On a similar note of making a positive impact, next week is National School Counselors Week. We have 2 awesome, dedicated school counselors here that we want to be sure to recognize and thank for all the work they do to make this a positive and welcoming place. Please keep this in mind this weekend and think about how you can express your thanks and gratitude to them next week: Perhaps write them a thank you card, or send a thank you email, or even a face-to-face conversation next week letting them know they are appreciated and that you are grateful for the daily impact they have. They are a source of inspiration, a source of encouragement, and a source of support. Please give some thought as to how you can recognize them next week.
More to come next week. Have a great weekend everyone.
It’s a great day… to be a LASER!
