FORENSICS TEAM

The KM Forensics team, where students speak with confidence and conviction, had 13 students make the prestigious “Power Round” on Friday night at Wisconsin Hills Middle School in Elm Grove. Of those 13, eight took home a medal. Elsa K was awarded a gold medal, while Nadia M and Jolie K earned silver medals. Lucy G, Ellen D, Grey L, Taylor A, and Anabelle G took home bronze medals.

The team will now prepare for the KM Forensics Celebration on Friday, March 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Congratulations to the entire team for an amazing year of speaking with confidence and conviction.

PTO MEETING

Please join our PTO leaders and Mr. Kitzerow for our second open PTO meeting.

Mr. Kitzerow will be sharing data points from our January, Student Pulse Check-in Survey and some highlights about our Plinko attendance incentive. Also, there are a number of opportunities for parents to get involved helping with our KMMS Showcase of Learning and other end-of-the-year activities.

There is an upcoming Dine for Dollars (D4D) fundraiser at Clean Juice, running from February 24 to February 28.

Families are welcome to participate at any time that works best for them during that week. The most important thing is to mention the fundraiser or enter the code KMDousman when ordering online.

Clean Juice is owned by a Kettle Moraine family and they offer a great selection of healthy and delicious foods and drinks.

JESUS CLUB

Jesus Club had a great first meeting this week Monday!  We are looking forward to our second meeting TODAY, Monday, February 24, 2:45-3:45 in Mrs. Weske's room, Room 508.  Any student from grades 6-8 is welcome to attend Jesus Club!  This club is run by 8th grade students.  Hope to see you there!   

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

The Kettle Moraine Middle School Boys Volleyball program is back for the Spring 2025 season. The season includes games against Arrowhead middle schools and ends with a conference tournamnet. Our middle and high school teams have been very successful for many years and you can join this awesome program! Coaching this season will be Coach Van Dyke (current high school varsity coach) and Coach Gulak (varsity coach 2002-2021). Use this link to sign up today! NATIONAL HISTORY DAY MEETS TODAY

Eleven young historians from the KM National History Day Team, where students learn that evidence matters, took top honors at the Southeast Regional at Concordia University in Mequon. Each day this week, we’ll highlight two young historians who will be competing at State in May, including Bryn M and Greta K, whose documentary is titled Eleanor Roosevelt and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Defining Rights and Responsibilities on a Global Scale, and Emmie D and Kieleen E, whose museum exhibit is titled The Salem Witch Trials of 1692: How a 15-Month Long Tragedy Turned into One of the Most Important Rights and Responsibilities for Citizens in the U.S.

Congratulations to the entire team for your grit and dedication to uncovering our rich past and showing us that our history matters.

LEARNING LAB

Learning lab is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:45 - 4:00 in the library. All students not going to the Learning lab must have rides arriving prior to 3pm. Only those students may wait in the vestibule just inside the front doors.
