Q: Why did the old man fall into the well?
A: Because he couldn’t see that well.
Two pickles fell out of a jar onto the floor. What did one say to the other?
Dill with it!
Good morning, Kettle Moraine Middle School, and happy Friday. I want to begin this message by giving a big shout-out to all of our students on the cast and crew of Annie Jr. For those of you who were able to see the show on Wednesday - did you know your peers had that kind of talent? We encourage everyone to bring their families this weekend and support KMMS students and enjoy the show. To those on the cast and crew and part of the production, please make sure by the end of the weekend you thank your parents, Mr. Martin, Ms. Hessemer, Ms. Cavanaugh, and all of the adults who helped make Annie Jr. happen. The musical was another example of KMMS being one of the best middle schools in the state. There are so many great opportunities here and we encourage all of our students to try something new this spring or next school year.
Speaking of great opportunities, we are looking forward to students demonstrating their learning at the Showcase nights next week. Students, we are running a special schedule on Wednesday so you will have the opportunity to set up and practice your presentation. Next Wednesday, we will run a Thursday schedule. This means there will be no Laser Hour, and instead, at 1:50PM during your final class of the day, you will be directed to go to your presentation area. All projects from Mr. Gutbrod’s classes will report to the small gym, and all other project areas will report to their Laser Hour. You will receive more directions on Wednesday - just be sure to have your project and script ready to go for practice!
This night is about you, this is your school, and it will be very cool to see all the things KMMS students have learned this year. This is your school and your district, and so, we want you to have a voice as KM adopts a new logo. Only students get to decide the new logo for KM, so we want you to take it seriously. Everyone received a Google Form in their email at 7:15AM this morning with 3 logo pairs to choose from. One logo is the formal, power logo, and the other is the logo that will be used for athletics. Personally, I think all 3 are great choices, but I do have a favorite myself. I wish I could vote - but that’s up to just you, KM students!
KM is a great school district, and as you know, it’s always a great day to be a Laser, when we treat others well. Have a great weekend!
It’s a great day… to be a LASER!
