Administrative Assistants Day

Good morning, everyone!

Today we’d like to take a moment to recognize Administrative Assistants Day and give a big thank-you to three incredible ladies in our front office team: Mrs. Luna, Mrs. Hoffman, and Mrs. Rogers, and  Mrs. Cowell.

These amazing staff members help keep our school running smoothly each and every day. From organizing Student Senate, checking students in and out for appointments, and building student schedules, to helping during lunch, promoting our school through messages and social media, and welcoming everyone who walks through our doors—they truly do it all.

They are often the first friendly faces you see in the morning and the helpful voices you hear when you need support. They are problem-solvers, organizers, listeners, and trusted adults who care deeply about our school community.

Many of the things they do happen behind the scenes, and while they may not always be noticed, they have a huge impact on making our school a positive and successful place to learn.

So today, please join us in saying thank you to Mrs. Luna, Mrs. Hoffman, Mrs. Cowell and Mrs. Rogers for everything they do. We appreciate you!

Have a great day, everyone!

National Library Week

Good morning, everyone!

This week is National Library Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize two incredible leaders in our school: Mrs. Ottenad and Mrs. Akers!

Our library is so much more than just a place for books—it’s a welcoming, engaging space where students can explore, create, and learn. That’s all thanks to the hard work and dedication of our amazing Library Leaders.

Mrs. Ottenad and Mrs. Akers teach us valuable skills that go far beyond the classroom. They introduce us to new books, help us find our next great read, they recommend new authors or genres to try, they model best practices with programs and introduce us to digital tools that support our learning and prepare us for the future. They guide us on how to be responsible and safe online, and they bring exciting opportunities into our school through projects, new ideas, 3D printing, and the Maker Space.

They are truly a wealth of knowledge, and our school is a better place because of everything they share with us. We are grateful for the chance to learn from their talent and expertise every day.

If you see Mrs. Ottenad or Mrs. Akers this week, be sure to thank them for all they do!

Have a great day, everyone!

While these are not “try outs” in the traditional sense as each child will have a spot, rather they will be assessments on skill level to determine which team (A, B, or C) your child will be placed on. Practices are held twice per week August-October with league play on the weekends. Enrollment is limited.

Dates: May 12th, 14th and 15th

Incoming 5th and 6th grade from 6pm until 7pm at KMHS West Gym
