May is cystic fibrosis awareness month!  My name is Jacob B, and I have cystic fibrosis, and I want to educate people about it!  People with cystic fibrosis have sticky mucus that builds up in their lungs, which can make it easier for them to get sick.  Cystic fibrosis is a rare condition that is not contagious, but it affects about 40,000 Americans.  If we explained all the ways that CF can affect people, this announcement would be two hours long, but a short list of treatments would include taking pills, having breathing treatments, and using an inhaler.  People with cystic fibrosis can lead very normal lives.  If you ever want to ask me questions about cystic fibrosis, please feel free to ask me!  

We will be conducting listening sessions for the board to hear from community members regarding Scenario IIA for addressing the long-term stability of the district. This is a great opportunity for our community to better understand how closing one elementary school, restructuring our 4K-(4 or 5) district boundaries, and making changes to middle school and high school operations, will impact families. This also provides a forum for our community to inform the decision making process and learn more about each of our elementary schools. Love reading? Join us in the library on Fridays after lunch instead of heading to recess! Just grab a purple pass from the office, bring your favorite book, and enjoy some quiet reading time in the library.

The Student Senate meets after school until 4pm in the 6 Inspire house open area.
Members should be sure to bring a water bottle to the meeting today.

Learning lab is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:45 - 4:00 in the library. All students not going to the Learning lab must have rides arriving prior to 3pm. Only those students may wait in the vestibule just inside the front doors.
