May is Mental Health Awareness Month - Read by Elinor S

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, an annual observance initiated in 1949 by Mental Health America (MHA) to reduce stigma, educate the public, and advocate for policies supporting people with mental health conditions. Wearing green throughout the month or sharing your stories with others can help spread awareness. The organizations that promote Mental Health Awareness Month emphasize that seeking help is a sign of strength. This month is a reminder that mental health is as important as physical health, and that help is available.  Want to have a deeper conversation about mental health?  Contact your trusted adult!

While these are not “try outs” in the traditional sense as each child will have a spot, rather they will be assessments on skill level to determine which team (A, B, or C) your child will be placed on. Practices are held twice per week August-October with league play on the weekends. Enrollment is limited.

Dates: May 12th, 14th and 15th

Incoming 5th and 6th grade from 6pm until 7pm at KMHS West Gym
Incoming 7th and 8th grade from 7:30pm until 9pm at KMHS West Gym

The first two dates are required with the third date highly encouraged.

Our goal is to create a positive experience giving athletes multiple opportunities to showcase their skills without the stress of a single assessment day. For further information or to register, visit www. https://kettlemorainevolleyball.sportngin.com/.  Sign up today and we look forward to seeing your athlete on the court in May!
