KMMS DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

September 11, 2024 - Gold Day

Students and staff. Today is September 11, 2024.  While it may seem like just another day, on this day in 2001, our nation suffered a terrible attack in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania.  Our flag today is flying at half staff.

As horrible and historic as the attacks were, equally remarkable was the response of safety workers and everyday citizens in those locations and around the country with help and comfort. Sometimes the very worst things are offset or balanced by the very best of reactions.  It is in this same spirit of selfless giving, we are called on this day to dedicate ourselves to serve others in our community and around the world. Today has been designated as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. So, let us take a moment of silence this morning, think of this day - remember if you can.  And let us dedicate ourselves, especially today, but every day, to serve others here at school and around the different communities in which we live and work.

Let us now pause for a moment of silence.

Thanks everyone – Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
