NEW STUDENT BREAKFAST

Attention new students to KMSD: You should have received a pass from your teacher excusing you to the cafeteria for the New Student Breakfast, if you did not receive one, please check with your teacher and report to the cafeteria at 7:30. You will need your chromebook.

Attention parents!  Kettle Moraine Music Parents is once again hosting the Homecoming Chili/Mac N Cheese Dinner on September 27th from 4pm - 7pm at the KM High School cafeteria. This is our biggest fundraising event of the year and 100% of the proceeds directly support music programs in KMSD.  We need your help to make this year's event successful.  Please sign up at this link.  We look forward to seeing you on Sept 26th. BEST BUDDIES

Kettle Moraine Middle School is excited to host another year of Best Buddies at the Middle School! The Best Buddies’ Friendship Programs offer opportunities for students with and without disabilities to come together and build meaningful connections while creating a more inclusive school community. Join us for our kickoff party on Wednesday, September 24th from 2:45-3:30 in the 7 Inspire House Open Area. Please contact Mrs. Daley in 7th grade with any questions. Please refer to this letter for further information.

NATIONAL HISTORY DAY

The first National History Day meeting of the year will be Wednesday, September 17th. The National History Day club is a great way to make friends, and explore history through your own interests. If you are interested, or have any questions, you can ask Mr. Harrison. Meetings will take place in Mr. Harrison's room, 601, directly after school until 4:00.

Kettle Moraine Middle School is a proud partner of a non-profit organization called Blessings in a Backpack. Through this partnership, your child is eligible to be a recipient of the Blessings in a Backpack program. This program is currently in all of the Kettle Moraine Elementary schools.  

The program is designed to provide non-perishable food every Friday to children that would benefit from supplemental nourishment over the weekend. The program runs the full school year and there is no cost to participate. If you choose to participate, your child will receive a bag of non-perishable food every Friday which will be distributed in a discreet and caring manner. This will begin Friday, September 19th.

STUDENT SENATE

Get involved in after school activities.  The Student Senate wants you! Senate is a great place to develop leadership skills, make new friends and help to plan some of the fun all school activities. We meet twice a month on Tues. and Wed.  As a member, you can attend as many meetings as you are able. We meet in Mrs. McCaffery’s room from 2:45 - 4:00. We have Homecoming to plan-- we need lots of folk!

Do you love to run?  Do you play a sport that runs? Then cross country is for you!  First practice is Tuesday, September 16 in room 605. Please sign up through the Community Education page.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Fritsch or Mrs. Page!

STEM FORWARD CLUB

Do you love science, technology, engineering, or math? Then this club is for you! Sign up on Mrs. Olson’s door.

Today is the day! The first STEM Forward Club meeting is after school in Mrs. Olson’s Computer Science room. Come learn how you can join a team, design a project, and compete against other schools in May. All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are welcome. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the very first STEM Forward team! Parents, feel free to join us to learn more about the team and how you can contribute if you wish. 

If you plan to join but cannot make the meeting Tuesday, please either email Mrs Olson or see her during your lunch time.

LEARNING LAB

Learning lab is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:45 - 4:00 in the library. All students not going to the Learning lab must have rides arriving prior to 3pm. Only those students may wait in the vestibule just inside the front doors.
