PLEASE STAND FOR THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Today, our administrators welcome our students. Click HERE to learn about being a Laser and being ready to learn!
We are glad you all are here! This is an exciting time filled with new opportunities and experiences ahead of you. Middle School is a time for discovery-of who you are, what you are passionate about and how you can make a difference. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, try new things, make new friends, and most importantly, be yourself!
You have a whole community - teachers, staff, and students, ready to support you and learn along with you. Let’s kick this year off together being kind, treating each other well, and ready to learn!
At Kettle Moraine Middle School, we encourage parents/guardians to communicate absence information via the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus (IC). Requests can be added to the portal at any time. When a parent does not communicate an absence before 10:30am, an auto-generated email and call will go out to notify the parent about the unexcused absence.
ARRIVING LATE: Please communicate the reason and projected time of arrival.
LEAVING EARLY: Please communicate the reason and time of departure. When your request is processed, your student will receive an email pass to show their teacher for dismissal. If your entry is made prior to lunch hours, your student will also receive a written pass for dismissal.
FULL DAY(S) ABSENCE: Please communicate the reason(s) and day(s) that your student will not be in school.
MEDICAL EXCUSE: Medical excuses can be uploaded to the Parent Portal with an absent request. In the event that a medical excuse cannot be attached to an IC Parent Portal entry, the excuse may be dropped at the front office or emailed to lunatina@kmsd.edu.
Let’s help get things off to a good start by following these lunchroom procedures.
Backpacks and Cell Phones: Backpacks and cell phones are not allowed in the cafeteria. Please leave them in your locker before coming to lunch. Keep your phone in your locker. You will have more info on this from your teachers after announcements.
When Finished Eating: Throw away your garbage, stack your tray and return to your table to wait for a lunchroom supervisor to indicate it is time to line up for either outside, or the gyms. That is when you can be dismissed to line up. Otherwise, you are to remain seated and not wander around. If you are staying in the cafeteria, board games are available if interested.
No Lockers: You are not allowed to go back to your locker during lunch.
Student ID # or Bring Your ID: Knowing your ID number or having your ID with you makes the check out lines go faster. It really slows things down when the cashiers have to look you up in Infinite Campus and it delays others from getting their food. So, please have your ID or ID number ready when checking out.
Stack Your Trays: Please stack your trays carefully and neatly.
Clean Up the Area Where You Ate: When you are finished eating, everyone is responsible for the area where they ate. Please throw all trash away, clean up any messes, and leave the table ready for the next lunch period. Thanks for doing your part in helping to keep our cafeteria clean.

If a lock that is not issued by the school is found on your locker, it will be cut off. Your locker is district property and we can access them at any time. We have all the lock combinations in the office, so If you have forgotten your combination or need assistance, please see someone in the front office. We are happy to help!
