CONGRATS CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to the Cross Country team for their races on Friday in Oconomowoc. It was a hot night to run but the coaches were so proud of each and every runner. Runners will run this same course at the end of their season so we are excited to see improvement as we go. The boys team finished in overall second place with Colin K coming in first for our team (overall 8th place), followed by Jacob J and Logan S coming in second and third for our team (10th and 11th overall).  Our girls team came first place with Kaitlyn M coming in first place overall followed by Kenzie B. The third place runner came in over 50 seconds after Kaitlyn and 20 seconds after Kenzie.  Our runners came in third place for our team and placed 8-10th place overall were Cecilia H, Alex A and Emily K coming in one second apart from each other.  Such a solid performance from both teams and all runners!

There will be NO PRACTICE TONIGHT due to the parent open house. We will see all runners Wednesday!

YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS

Good morning KMMS!

You’ll start to notice colorful posters created by the Student Ambassadors that say, “You can do hard things.” These posters are more than just decorations—they’re reminders about grit. Grit means sticking with something even when it’s challenging and not giving up when things get tough.

Life isn’t always easy—and as you grow, it will bring bigger challenges. But remember: you can do hard things. Every time you push through something difficult, you become stronger, more confident, and better prepared for what comes next.

So when you see these signs, let them remind you: life will get harder, but you are capable—you can do hard things!

BOOK CLUB

Attention students! There’s a brand new club starting very soon, and it’s perfect for those of you who enjoy spending your free time surrounded by a library. Book Club offers the perfect opportunity for students to engage in fun reading, writing practices and to meet new people who love literacy just as much as they do!

Our first meeting begins Thursday, October 2nd after school in the library until 3:15. There are no sign-ups needed; come as you are. If you have any questions, feel free to talk to Mrs. Ottenad or Mrs. Akers in the library. We hope to see you soon!

EXPLORERS' CLUB

Attention 8th grade students!

The Explorers’ Club will start off the year with an 8th grade trip to Six Flags for an evening at Fright Fest. This is a fun trip that is very popular with our students.  We will leave the Middle School after school on Friday, October 24th, and return to the Middle School at approximately 11:45 that evening.  Forms are due by October 7th but get those forms in as this trip is a first come first served opportunity.  Once the buses are full, no more students can attend.  See Mrs. Hamilton with questions.
