Principal's Post

Hello KMMS Families,

Our January theme of “It’s a great day to be a Laser when we’re ready to learn” focused on grit and academic habits. As we move into February, we’re back to, “It’s a great day to be a Laser when we treat each other well.”

How are KMMS’ students treating each other? We checked in with them with a survey in January and received some great feedback. We’re going to show them survey responses on Monday during announcements. We had 630 students, 91% of our student population, take the survey. We are particularly proud of our students for how they seem to be putting forth great effort to be respectful of one another, with 94.8% of students responding “Agree” or “Strongly Agree.”

We know that a positive school culture and student-to-student respect is not a destination point, but a process that takes ongoing attention and maintenance. We appreciate our parents' support in helping their child learn how to treat other students well!

Have a great weekend,

Matt Kitzerow
KMMS Principal
