Principal's Post

Hello KMMS families,

We are in the final stretch before winter break and want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of these two weeks leading up to break. When we return in early January, we will have a few short weeks before the semester changes. The next two weeks will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall success of our students this academic term.

To support your student during this time, please consider engaging in open communication about their academic goals and progress. Helping create a conducive study environment at home, free from distractions, and offering assistance with organizing study materials can greatly benefit students. Encouraging a healthy work-life balance is equally important. Kids need to have fun and have outlets from school and academic work. Please reach out to your child’s teacher(s) to clarify any coursework expectations. They are here to partner with you and help. Thank you for your continued support!

Have a great weekend,

Matt Kitzerow

KMMS Music Students Play at the Breakfast with Santa

The MS music department represented very well at the Breakfast with Santa event, which had record community attendance this year. Orchestra and band students were not only musically well-prepared, but conducted themselves very appropriately!

Several bus loads of KMMS band and orchestra students traveled around the district to play at the elementary buildings this week. Below are some photos to enjoy from that experience.

From the KMMS PTO

The KMMS PTO is looking for a few dedicated people to spearhead a fundraising committee, for the Middle School. Committee members would be involved in creating an annual, large-scale fundraiser that would fund initiatives aligned to the vision and mission of the KMMS PTO . This is a great opportunity to meet new people and help the KM community at the same time! Anyone interested can reach out to Amy Richards at amyracquelrichards@gmail.com
