Principal's Post

Hello KMMS families,

We are wrapping up February and hope we are wrapping up the cold and flu season too! Our attendance rates have certainly taken a hit over these past two months, but we appreciate our parents and students partnering with classroom teachers to make a plan to keep up on coursework when there have been absences. If your student is home ill but feeling up to it, we encourage them to check the ‘Must-Do/Can-Do” list to see what coursework has been assigned to them.

Students learn best when they are in school, and we are hopeful that our attendance gets back to normal as we approach a fun, rigorous, and eventful spring!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mr. Kitzerow

Doctor notes

While we appreciate medical appointments to be scheduled outside of school hours, we understand that this isn't always possible.  Be sure to get a doctor's excuse at your student's appointment and have them bring the excuse to school.  Their absence will then be medically excused which will not affect their attendance record.
