Hello KMMS families, 

We have five days of school left before spring break and the end of Term 3. The end of the term typically signals deadlines for larger projects and benchmarks. There will be a posted “snapshot” of students’ grades available on Infinite Campus on April 1st. The “snapshot” grade at the end of the term is just that, a snapshot. Students have the ability to raise their final grades until the end of Term 4, the end of the school year.

However, we feel it is very important that students work to meet deadlines and build good habits. These are important life lessons. If your student has missing work piling up, we encourage you to build a plan with them at home to get caught up and be in good standing at the end of Term 3 next Friday. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher(s). We are here to help!

Join us for a night of "Jazz in the Kettle" on Tuesday, March 18th! The concert will feature the 7th and 8th Grade Jazz Ensembles from KMMS, KMHS Orchestras, KMHS Vocal Jazz, the KMHS Jazz Combo, and KMHS Jazz Ensembles 1 and 2. 

This free concert starts at 7pm and is in the newly renovated Prism Performing Arts Center at Kettle Moraine High School.

Greetings from the Student Services Department!  We’ve now completed our course registration for next school year.  Your child should have discussed their elective and alternate course requests with you.  If you have any questions about your child’s course choices, or you would like to request a change to their choices or their learning environment for middle school, please contact one of our school counselors.  Questions or concerns about your child’s high school schedule should be directed to the high school counseling team.  

In the final quarter of the school year, our counselors will wrap up their classroom lessons for the year, including lessons about alcohol and drug use prevention.  

Our 7th Graders will be participating in the Youth Risk Behavior Survey in March. The results of this survey supports our communities by providing schools and organizations with information such as trends in risky behaviors, which are used to improve health and safety programs. Please see the informational email that went out on February 27 or reach out to our Student Services team if you have any questions.

Kettle Moraine Middle School presents Willy Wonka JR. on April 11 at 7pm and April 12 at 2pm at the Kettle Moraine Prism Auditorium. There will also be an art show by KMMS students in the auditorium lobby. Tickets can be purchased online (linked here). Adults are $15, seniors and students are $10, and children 5 & under are free. 

Our KMMS Lost and Found is beginning to fill again. Please take a look at the photos below and help us return belongings to their owners.

While we appreciate medical appointments to be scheduled outside of school hours, we understand that this isn't always possible.  Be sure to get a doctor's excuse at your student's appointment and have them bring the excuse to school.  Their absence will then be medically excused which will not affect their attendance record.

High School Charter Applications for the 25-26 school year are now available. Please contact the school directly with any school-specific questions.

Countdown to YEARBOOK ORDERS DUE!   

The 2024-2025 Yearbook orders are due on Saturday, March 22!   

The current price of $15 will end on this date. 

Students & Parents: If you are not sure whether you've already ordered a yearbook, you can go to the same ordering link and click on "ALREADY PLACED AN ORDER?" and look up the email address(es) that you may have ordered it under.

Please collect your Albrecht's Sentry receipts to support Kettle Moraine Middle School PTO!

Please send in your Albrecht's Sentry receipts throughout the rest of the year. Albrecht's Sentry will give back 1% of receipt totals collected. Receipts can be dropped off in the front office in the designated collection container. This is a quick and easy way to support KMMS PTO.

Our spring season for grades 6/7/8 begins April 7th. Practices will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 2:40-4pm.  6th graders will practice with the team the first three weeks ending with our Pewaukee meet on April 22.

Late Registration April 8 – June 27 (+$50)

Boys and girls entering  grades 5-8 in the fall of 2025 are eligible to participate in the league.  Practices are held twice per week August-October with league play on the weekends in the GMYVB League.  Tryouts will be held 5/15/25 and 5/19/25 from 6:30-8:30pm at the KMHS Gym.

Students entering grades 1-4 in the fall of 2025 are encouraged to join our mini league on Friday nights for volleyball instruction, fun and games.  

ZUMBA GOLD®  is perfect for active older adults, those new to exercise, those looking for a lower impact choice and those coming back into the fitness routine who are looking for a Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity.

How It Works:
This  class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered, feeling strong and successful.
