Hello KMMS families, 

We wish all our KM families a wonderful spring break filled with rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation away from the typical school week routine. Take this time to recharge - April approaches with state testing, our exciting Showcase of Learning, and the launch of the final term in what has been a truly exceptional school year.

Video Game Design and Film

Mrs Olson’s Video Game Design and Film class took on the challenge of using Unity to learn coding skills and create up to 5 different games. Unity is a professional game design platform used in the game design industry to design and code games. Students needed to learn C sharp coding language and application skills in the hierarchy related to physics, gravity, etc. Pictured is a group of students who took on this hefty challenge!

State Meet for Forensics

Congratulations to the KM Forensics Team for their outstanding performance at the MLFA State Forensics Meet at Brookfield Central High School on Saturday. The team spoke with confidence and conviction, and their hard work paid off with impressive results. A total of 12 students earned medals, including Taylor A and Anabelle G, who took home the top honors for their Infomercial, The Gen Z Translator. Elsa K earned second for her remarkable impromptu speech, which she created on the spot. Grace K also claimed second in the Storytelling category with her captivating speech, "Hic, Hic, Hic." Grey L earned third for her powerful Serious Solo speech, "Who Am I?" Congratulations to the entire team. We are incredibly proud of your courage, dedication, and accomplishments this year.

Student Services Update - Quarter 3

Greetings from the Student Services Department!  We’ve now completed our course registration for next school year.  Your child should have discussed their elective and alternate course requests with you.  If you have any questions about your child’s course choices, or you would like to request a change to their choices or their learning environment for middle school, please contact one of our school counselors.  Questions or concerns about your child’s high school schedule should be directed to the high school counseling team.  

In the final quarter of the school year, our counselors will wrap up their classroom lessons for the year, including lessons about alcohol and drug use prevention.  


Our 7th Graders will be participating in the Youth Risk Behavior Survey in March. The results of this survey supports our communities by providing schools and organizations with information such as trends in risky behaviors, which are used to improve health and safety programs. Please see the informational email that went out on February 27 or reach out to our Student Services team if you have any questions.

Kettle Moraine Middle School presents Willy Wonka JR. on April 11 at 7pm and April 12 at 2pm at the Kettle Moraine Prism Auditorium. There will also be an art show by KMMS students in the auditorium lobby. Tickets can be purchased online (linked here). Adults are $15, seniors and students are $10, and children 5 & under are free.

Countdown to YEARBOOK ORDERS DUE!   

The 2024-2025 Yearbook orders are due on Saturday, March 22!   

The current price of $15 will end on this date. 

Students & Parents: If you are not sure whether you've already ordered a yearbook, you can go to the same ordering link and click on "ALREADY PLACED AN ORDER?" and look up the email address(es) that you may have ordered it under.

The PTO Battle House evening laser tag was a success. Forty-two kids participated. The PTO made $287. Thanks to all who participated.

Please collect your Albrecht's Sentry receipts to support Kettle Moraine Middle School PTO!

Please send in your Albrecht's Sentry receipts throughout the rest of the year. Albrecht's Sentry will give back 1% of receipt totals collected. Receipts can be dropped off in the front office in the designated collection container. This is a quick and easy way to support KMMS PTO.

MS Track and Field

Our spring season for grades 6/7/8 begins April 7th. Practices will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 2:40-4pm.  6th graders will practice with the team the first three weeks ending with our Pewaukee meet on April 22.

Jr. Laser Football 2025

Registration is NOW OPEN for Junior Lasers Football!

  • The season will run from August through October.

  • There will be 1-2 teams per grade.

Fall 2025 Youth Boys and Girls Volleyball

Boys and girls entering  grades 5-8 in the fall of 2025 are eligible to participate in the league.  Practices are held twice per week August-October with league play on the weekends in the GMYVB League.  Tryouts will be held 5/15/25 and 5/19/25 from 6:30-8:30pm at the KMHS Gym.

Students entering grades 1-4 in the fall of 2025 are encouraged to join our mini league on Friday nights for volleyball instruction, fun and games.  

Zumba Gold

ZUMBA GOLD®  is perfect for active older adults, those new to exercise, those looking for a lower impact choice and those coming back into the fitness routine who are looking for a Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity.

How It Works:
This  class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered, feeling strong and successful.
