Principal's Post

Hello KMMS Families,

Ms. Lloyd and I enjoyed kicking off our monthly House Talks, where we connect with students to celebrate what’s going well at KMMS, identify areas to improve, and share school goals. This week we met with 6th and 7th Inspire, and next week we’ll be with Create and 8th Inspire.

September’s House Talk focused on:

  • Key school rules that support a healthy school culture and unified KM

  • The importance of strong school attendance

  • Our schoolwide goal of making learning relevant and meaningful in every class

Here’s the slideshow we used.

We also want to invite you to our Back-to-School Information Night on Tuesday, September 30th, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at KMMS. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend, hear important updates about the year, and ask questions.

We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Have a great weekend,

Matt Kitzerow

KMMS AM Drop Off Reminder

Please be sure that your student(s) exit(s) the vehicle on the passenger side when being dropped at the designated drop off spot each morning. Please do NOT allow your student to exit on the driver's side. The lane on the driver's side is close to the moving traffic in the pass through lane, and we want to keep students away from moving vehicles.

The teacher appreciation committee puts on several events throughout the year and we need your help to make that happen!  We understand that not everyone is able to volunteer time with schedules being so busy.  This is a great way to show your appreciation for our teachers and support these ongoing events!  Our goal is to raise at least $3,000 dollars.  The more money we raise the less we will ask throughout the year.  We provide several meals, treats, snacks, coffee, tea, gifts, etc. for the teachers throughout the year.  We also supply the break room with different appliances that the teachers request (microwave, ice machine, tea kettle, etc.).   Link to Sign Up Genius

Your donation will help us give back to the teachers and staff who give so much to our kids!

This is your opportunity to make a cash or supply donation to the KMMS Teacher Appreciation Committee.  Cash donations are made via Infinite Campus.  There will be additional opportunities to donate supplies and food for our hosted meal events throughout the year.

To make a payment in Infinite Campus select your KMMS student, select ' fees' from the drop down menu on the left then select ' optional payments' at the very bottom. Donations should be made using the option " MS - PTO Donation.' Click 'My Cart" on the right side of the screen and enter the amount that you want to donate. Click submit at the bottom of the screen. Thank you for your generous support!
