Hello KMMS Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at Locker Set-Up/Picture Day #1! Having students and families back in the building in August brings contagious energy to our staff. 

Some families didn’t see the July 31 email, KMMS August 2025 Dates (it may have gone to spam). Please check your spam folder to ensure you don’t miss future messages. You can also always find updates on our KMMS Website Events page.

Here are the remaining important dates before school begins:

Tuesday, August 26
• Picture Day #2 — 3:00–7:00 PM (no sign-up needed)
• PTO Back-to-School Bash — 4:00–6:00 PM (food & fun!)
• KMMS Open House — 4:30–6:30 PM (meet teachers, walk your schedule, pick up EPI supplies in cafeteria)

Thursday, August 28
• WEB Day — 7:20–10:30 AM (for 6th graders + new 7th/8th graders)

Friday, August 29
• No School

First day of school: Tuesday, September 2

These teachers are joining us here at KMMS:

Mr. Harrison (far left): Mr. Harrison joins the 6 Inspire team as a Social Studies teacher. He is a Green Bay Packer and Star Wars fan.

Ms. Burke (2nd in row): Ms. Burke joins the 7 Inspire team as a Math and Science teacher. She loves Labs and Twix bars.

Mrs. Spindler (3rd from right): Mrs. Spindler joins the 6 Inspire team as an SWD teacher. She loves her Australian Cattle dog rescue. Mrs. Spindler possesses many creative talents. Her abstract alcohol ink paintings are shown through a gallery in Madison.

Dee Dee Jacobsen (2nd from right): Mrs. Jacobsen joins the district and building as our new Talent Development Coordinator. Mrs. Jacobson's favorite music group is Mumford and Sons. Her favorite food is mashed potatoes.

The Kettle Moraine School District allows staff members to anonymously nominate their colleagues for a number of awards each year. This year, these two recognitions were presented to KMMS teachers.

Denise Olson, 2025 Innovator Award: This award recognizes the educator who embraces innovation, modeling new and transformative practices within their learning space. Mrs. Olson teaches our Computer Science related courses.

Jamie Cuzman, Grade 6-12 Educator of the Year Award: This award recognizes teaching excellence through high-level teaching skills, student engagement, and achievement. Ms. Cuzman teaches Math with our 7 Inspire team.

If you have not registered your student on Infinite Campus. please do so as soon as you are able.

Please collect your Albrecht's Sentry receipts to support Kettle Moraine Middle School PTO!

Please send in your Albrecht's Sentry receipts throughout the rest of the year. Albrecht's Sentry will give back 1% of receipt totals collected. Receipts can be dropped off in the front office in the designated collection container. This is a quick and easy way to support KMMS PTO.

Note: Receipts cannot be older than 6 months to be eligible for the round up.
