KMMS ORCHESTRA IS ELECTRIC

Seventh and eighth grade orchestra students have begun a unit exploring electric instruments and digital sound production with Ms. Weber. Students are learning the basics of sound production, including how pickups on electric instruments capture vibrations, turn them into sound waves, and then translate those sound waves into electronic signals sent to an exterior amplifier. Students have enjoyed this modernized unit, and have already requested opportunities to perform on these instruments at upcoming concerts!

Please consider making an appointment when registration reopens. We choose to use the Red Cross because they have a scholarship program based on how many pints we collect during the year. We combine with Student Senate drives and last year we received $1,000 that we were able to award to students. The more pints the higher the award! Thank you for considering, please let me know if you have any questions.
