The middle school held it's first assembly in about a decade, and it was met with a great deal of excitement. Students competed in games by grade level and were challenged by KMMS staff. The event provided a nice opportunity for students to socialize and burn some energy prior to the holiday weekend. Click to watch the video!

Magee's 4th and 5th grade Student Council has decided to "adopt" The Ronald McDonald House as their annual December charity! This means that, each December, we will collect items for the entire month to be donated to their Milwaukee location. Attached is their Wish List for Amazon. We are also asking that families start saving their aluminum can pop tops all year long to be donated to The Ronald McDonald House in December.

Magee Fine Arts Day

We hope our Magee community had a very Happy Thanksgiving! We are still thinking about the fun we had at Fine Arts Day. We ended our day in the gym with an epic performance by Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos. Former Magee music teacher, Will Krieger, was one of the talented musicians!

Building Tech Skills at KMMS

Mrs Olson's 7th grade Computer Science class focused on wiring circuits and programming Arduinos this past month. This group of students were able to meet the challenge of designing a pedestrian intersection with a push button and wire it up to function with their program. We then learned about electrician trades and electrical engineering jobs that might work on these types of projects. Take a close look at the picture to see the $100,000 bill they were paid with! Another student took a further step and wired up an LCD screen to display a message. Way to go 7th graders!

KM PLAY HOME PARADE

KM students will be building three play houses this year for The Milwaukee Builders Association parade of play homes. Mr. Bruening's architecture class designed the houses and his construction class is in the process of building them. This hands-on project pairs high school students with professional builders to form relationships and learn from their experience. This year, KM students have been working with Espire Homes and Victory Homes. The play houses be on display in early January at the builders show, where they will be auctioned off and utilized for student scholarships. We are always excited to feature students pursuing their dreams through the many pathways offered at KM. Thank you Mr. Bruening for making these valuable connections!
