WIFA oversees the sport of interscholastic ice fishing in Wisconsin and KM offers a competitive 6-12 team for anglers. The team provides these young fisherman opportunities to learn from accomplished anglers and travel the state to compete in tournaments. The team finished in the top 25% of the state, and three students were able to earn master angler designations this year. Out of 254 students, Austin Weber finished 27th with 11 fish and 288,” Bradan Hegemann-Lindau finished 38th with 7 fish and 196,” and Jayden Hitchcock; finished 65th with 6 fish and 119.25.”

KM Alum on Broadway
KM Perform graduate Sophia Tzougros was on our line up for the Perform Alumni Concert, but something came up! She will be making her Broadway debut in "Good Night and Good Luck" this spring and rehearsals are in full swing. The landmark theatrical event stars two-time Academy Award® winner George Clooney, who is also making his Broadway debut. Sophia is a former Jerry Award winner and they were kind enough to share a few photos. We recently interviewed Sophia for the KM Communicator magazine, so stay tuned for more on her story!!
Perform Alumni Concert
Celebrating 15 years, Kettle Moraine School for Arts and Performance presents the KM Perform Alumni Recital to benefit guest artist funding in KM Perform – Friday, March 21st at 7:00pm in the Prism Arts Center at Kettle Moraine High School. A Legacy of Excellence
TMJ4 recently attended a KM girls basketball game to do a story on the 'Original Buck' and proud grandpa, Jon McGlocklin, as he attended his granddaughters' basketball game. McGlocklin was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks' inaugural 1968-69 team. He takes just as much pleasure in watching Keegan, a senior, and her younger sister Quinn, a freshman, excel on the court. The girls will have only one year playing together on the same high school team, but they have been pushing one another their entire lives. March 7th from 9:00am-12:00pm at Dousman Elementary, KM will be holding a free preschool screening facilitated by the District's Early Childhood Team. Children participate in a variety of play-based activities to assess communication, gross and fine motor skills, social/ emotional development, and pre-academic skills. Luau
The annual Daddy Daughter Dance was a great event and raised a lot of money for Key Club. The club decked out the gym and organized, games, crafts, and photo booths to make it a really special event. This is a lovely event for young girls to celebrate with the important men in their lives!!
Attend the 7th Annual LAX BLAST on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 6:30pm-10:30pm at Western Lakes Golf Club. The evening includes dinner, music, silent auction, raffles and cash bar. Host Families Needed
Foreign exchange students need host families for the 25-26 school year. We have two boys: Ludwig, 16, enjoys pop music, pets, reading, and sporting events. He plays basketball, soccer and tennis and loves American football. Adrian , 17, is interested in astronomy, cars, and sports, and plays basketball. We also have a girl, Katharin 15, who loves pop music, pets, sports, and participates in dance, tennis, and volleyball. The students' families pay all expenses and provide medical insurance. KMMS Boys Volleyball
We are currently recruiting students for the Kettle Moraine Middle School Boys Volleyball program's Spring 2025 season. Sign up by March 7th to guarantee your spot on the team. The schedule for the season is linked on the sign up form and includes games against Arrowhead as well as a conference tournament. DECA Results from Florida
Our KM DECA Chapter dominated the State Career Development Conference, with multiple students qualifying for the International Competition in Orlando! Over 1300 marketing students from around the state converged at the Grand Geneva resort to compete at this event. KM DECA Chapter members embodied this year's theme and took on the challenge to "BE THE ONE" to advance to the International competition in Orlando Florida later this year. Malachi Beyerlein brought home 1st place in the KM DECA Entrepreneurship Event. Alyssa Foote & Madeline Ewald earned a 2nd place finish with their Business Solutions Project. Anna Coufal & Savannah Kildow took 4th place in the Marketing Management Team Event. Hunter Phillips finished in 5th place with her Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan. Also Qualifying for ICDC are Georgia Boland and Ella Dipalma in the Sports & Entertainment Marketing Team Event & Reese Albert with an Amazing "Baked by Reese" Independent Business Plan. Many other KM students won individual medals in their respective events.
Robotics Shows off Their Skill
Our Laser Bots and Laser Tech Robotics teams had a visit from Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez. They demonstrated several robots and discussed objectives of this year's game. They also discussed the various roles team members played in the project. Special thanks to Mike Brickl for the amazing photos!!
BBall Post-Season Seeds
Kettle Moraine has earned the #1 seed in the WIAA 2025 Boys Basketball Tournament for D1. They will start post-season play on Friday, March 7 at 7:00 PM @KMHS, against the winner of the #17 Madison East vs #16 Watertown game, which takes place next Tuesday @Watertown.

Jr Laser Football: Registration is NOW OPEN for Junior Lasers Football! Early Bird Registration: Now – April 7. Late Registration April 8 – June 27 (+$50). K-4th Grade: Flag Football Early Bird Registration: $275. The season will run from August through October. Players will be randomly placed on teams that are balanced by grade-level. Teams will end their season with an “Under the Lights” game on Vock Field. We will need coaches, especially for the K-2 division. Sign up in SportsEngine for this rewarding opportunity! 5th- 8th Grade: Tackle Football Early Bird Registration: $450. The season will run from August through October. Fall 2025 Youth boys and girls volleyball season: Boys and girls entering grades 5-8 in the fall of 2025 are eligible to participate in the league. Practices are held twice per week August-October with league play on the weekends in the GMYVB League. Tryouts will be held 5/15/25 and 5/19/25 from 6:30-8:30pm at the KMHS Gym. Students entering grades 1-4 in the fall of 2025 are encouraged to join our mini league on Friday nights for volleyball instruction, fun and games.
