BACKSTAGE AT CLUE!!!

Signing day is a very special occasion in the Kettle Moraine School District

On Stage (High School Edition) | March 8 & 9 @ 7pm, March 10 @ 2pm | KMHS Auditorium. Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The plot references some mature themes, similar to a PG film.

Dockhound's KM Night!

KM SPIRIT IS OFF THE CHARTS!!! We have sold 191 tickets... Arrowhead and Oconomowoc 0!! KM Day at the DockHounds will be May 22, 2024 at 6:35 pm. Join us as the Lake Country DockHounds take on the Milwaukee Milkmen at WBC Park. This will be a fun night to celebrate with your KM Community and show your support while watching a great game! For every ticket sold, $3 will be donated back to the district. As extra incentive, KM, Arrowhead, and Oconomowoc will be competing for an additional $1/ticket by selling the most tickets (use the link below) for their respective night. Let's WIN THIS!! Foreign Exchange

HOST A FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT!!!

We currently have one student who is looking to stay with an area family as part of this wonderful cultural exchange. Paola, 17, from France, is coming to KMHS in the fall and needs a host family. She loves skiing, and tennis and is good with pets. She will pay all expenses, and has medical insurance. Paola wants to know our culture and will participate in school and family activities. MEET THE SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES

Join us March 6th in the Kettle Moraine High School Library.

Our 2024 Candidate Forum allows voters to learn more about the background, experience, and vision of this year's school board candidates. It is also a great opportunity to ask questions and participate in the process. We have three candidates for three open positions: Tom Hardin, Scott Kelly, and Liz Nottling (incumbent). 

The election will be held in the School District of Kettle Moraine on Tuesday, April 2, 2024

If you live in the Kettle Moraine School District and have concerns about your 3-5 year old child who has not yet attended kindergarten, consider scheduling a free screening. The District Early Childhood Team facilitates screenings with a variety of play-based activities to assess communication, gross and fine motor skills, social/emotional development, and pre-academic skills. ELEMENTARY NEWS

WHAT A FUN WAY TO LEARN FRACTIONS!!!!

Cushing Elementary third graders organized a grade-wide pizzeria to gain a better understanding of fractions. They went all out with paper pizzas, checked tablecloths and some impressive moustaches! A great time was had by all. Thank you to everyone who helped with this activity.

CARING IS ALWAYS ON DISPLAY AT DOUSMAN!!

Check out the All-School collaborative project Mrs. Lea organized to coincide with Valentine's Day and our theme of the month which is Caring. Students worked with their buddy class to make faces on their hearts. The different colors represent the different grade levels here at Dousman. The 7 1/2 x 9 foot heart will be on display in the front hallway across from the gym entrance for the foreseeable future.

ALL-STAR BAND!!!

Congratulations to Melanie M and Tyler P who were chosen to be part of the UW-Milwaukee Middle School Honors All-Star Band this past weekend. They were invited to perform at the Zelazo Center on the UWM campus and were chosen by the Honors Band conductors as standout musicians amongst their peers from schools across Southeastern Wisconsin.

DECA STATE CONFERENCE!!!

Congratulations to all of the Marketing & DECA students who competed this week at the DECA State Conference. Our team was recognized as a Gold Level chapter for community outreach and service. This year's theme has been "Experience the Difference" and KM students did just that as 14 members qualified in their competitive event areas to represent Kettle Moraine DECA and the state of Wisconsin at this year's International Conference in Anaheim California.

ROBOTICS TEAM HEADED TO STATE TOMORROW!!!!

SIDEBAR: VISIT WITH LT. GOVERNOR

The State competition will be held at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Saturday March 2, 2024 from 7am to about 5:30pm at MSOE's Kern Center 1245 N Broadway, Milwaukee. Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez stopped by to visit with team Laser Tech at KMHS. The team shared a demonstration of their robot and talked about the objectives of this year's game. They also discussed the various roles team members played in the project. Ms. Rodriguez shared her background with the students, asked about their future plans, and encouraged them to keep working hard to achieve their goals.

Kettle Moraine Girls Bowling Team is headed to the State Championship this weekend (March 1-3) at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, WI. Congrats ladies on an awesome season. Go get 'em!!!

Fall 2024 Select Volleyball: Information for those interested in participating in summer and fall volleyball for those entering grades 1-8. We will be having a parent meeting in May again to cover some changes we are making to enhance the program based on your feedback.  We will also be having tryouts in May. 5/6 (Mon) MS Parent Meeting 6-7 PM KMHS Library. 5/13 (Mon) Tryouts MS 6:30 - 8:30 PM (5th graders 6:30 - 8:00 PM ONLY ONE DAY), Boys may be one day depending on numbers signed up. 5/15 (Wed) Tryouts MS 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Tennis and Pickleball Opportunities: The Kettle Moraine Tennis Association (KMTA) along with Community Education has many spring and summer opportunities for tennis and pickleball for youth through adult. All registrations are online through KM Community Education at https://kmsd.revtrak.net/rwcommunityeducation/. Pickleball - Spring session on M/W April-June All abilities welcome.  The open pickleball $30 spring paddle band is your ticket to playing pickleball on the new KMHS pickleball courts all spring. Summer session AM or PM M-F, 6/10-8/2 The open pickleball paddle band is your ticket to playing pickleball on the new KMHS pickleball courts!  Men and women recreational tennis leagues -June-August This league will be organized by KMTA volunteers, and you will receive a schedule with possible bye weeks, depending on the number of registrants.  Singles and doubles will be available, with a heavy emphasis on doubles to maximize court time.  Balls will be provided. Adult Tennis Drill and Play - Men and Women players will be provided with instruction from tennis professionals and assistants on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at KMHS.  The format for these sessions includes an hour of instruction on technique and strategy, followed by an hour of competitive play. Youth Tennis Academy-Eligible players (ages 10 – 18) will be divided by ability level and specific lesson plans will be modified to meet the player’s ability.  Lessons will be progressive, consisting of technique instruction, drills, conditioning, and competition.  

MS Track and Field (Middle School only): Our spring season for grades 7/8 begins April 8.  Practices will be held M,T,W 2:40-4pm.  6th graders are welcome to practice with the club for three weeks of the season in April  to prepare, exercise and learn about track and field.  Registration is available online at https://kmsd.revtrak.net/rwcommunityeducation/. Deadline to sign up is March 22.
