Laser Tech and Laser Bots both earned spots in the state competition this year. The teams build and program their robots around a precise set of assigned tasks that change annually. They compete with a second partner team against two other combined teams to earn points, advancing as they win and adopting new partners in each round. KM Laser Tech has been the team to beat throughout the season, but sustained some damage in the first round of competition. Unfortunately, Laser Bots lost in the semi-finals and Laser Tech lost in the finals. Despite this tough loss, both teams completed at an incredibly high level!! WATCH THE VIDEO!!!

DOUSMAN CONCERT!
Dousman Elementary 2nd and 3rd graders held their concert this week and attendance was incredible! The students did a great job. Thanks Mr Martin for all of your hard work and for arranging such a wonderful evening for our families.
WALES 5TH GRADERS COLLABORATE WITH KMHS STUDENTS
Mrs. Blawat's class partnered with Ms. Hoida's Chemistry/Physics Pathway students at the high school to program robots as part of a Rube Goldberg device. The students worked together to build their devices and high schoolers explained the role of conservation of energy to allow their machines accomplish simple tasks in a complex way. Students are creating machines to turn on faucets, switch off the lights, dispense lotion from a tube, and more.

KM WOODWORKING CONTINUES TO BUILD HIGH STANDARDS!!!
Mr. Bruening is adapting our woodworking program to meet even more stringent requirements from Wisconsin's Department of Workforce Development's (WDWD) for their Career Technical Education Incentive Grants. The program is expanding from a saw blade certification, to the new Woodwork Career Alliance's Core Credential, which is a more advanced certification of readiness. After School Wrestling: In partnership with the KMHS wrestling team, the KM youth wrestling club would like to invite you to participate in our 2024 After School Camp! Members from the KMHS wrestling team will lead the camp sessions. The camp is open to all K-5th grade students which attend a school within the Kettle Moraine school district boundaries. The camp will be an action packed, fun, and safe introduction to the sport of wrestling. Students with all ability and experience levels are welcome. Practices will be once per week at the participants home school, for a total of 5 practices. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt to wear for practice and Match Night. Cushing, Magee - Tuesdays, 4/2-4/30 3:45-5pm. Dousman, Wales - Wednesdays, 4/3-5/1 3:45-5p.m. Participants and their families are invited to Match Night on Tuesday, May 7th from 5:30 - 7:00 at the KM High School East Gym. Jr. Laser Football Registration now available: Registration is now open for the fall 2024 football season. Students entering grades K-4 are welcomed to sign up for flag football and students entering grades 5-8 will sign up for tackle football. Season begins early August and goes through October. MS Track and Field (Middle School only): Our spring season for grades 7/8 begins April 8. Practices will be held M,T,W 2:40-4pm. 6th graders are welcome to practice with the club for three weeks of the season in April to prepare, exercise and learn about track and field.
