We are currently renovating our 30 year old auditorium to address concerns over safety, comfort, and production quality. The upgrades will take place over the summer and, like our other facilities projects, there will be opportunities for sponsors to help us meet our goals and provide quality venues for our students. Global Artisan Craft Fair May 18th!!!
KM Global will be hosting an artisan craft fair at Kettle Moraine High School on Saturday, May 18th! This capstone project is a cornerstone of Global's learning. Students get the opportunity to build a community event to benefit a local organization. 100% of the proceeds from this event (from vendor fees, donations, food truck partnerships, etc.) will be donated to our friends at the Hunger Task Force. KM Hires Boys and Girls Tennis Coach
We are very excited to welcome Ken Crocker to our coaching staff. As an avid tennis fan and player, Ken cannot wait to lead KM's tennis teams to success on and off the court. Ken spends a great deal of time developing his skills, whether playing himself or working with his three children, all of whom attend KM. In his professional life, he coaches and mentors software teams on collaboration, communication, and concentration. He is excited to apply this learning and is Laser-focused on getting the best out of both teams. The girls season will be starting in August and he will be leading the boys team starting in March.

Dousman Student Makes Birthdays about Giving
Since turning 7, Connor has taken a different approach to birthdays. It was that first-grade year, when schools were closed, that he asked his mother “since I can’t bring treats to my friends at school, can we bring them to your friends at work?" His mother worked at a hospital and the kind gesture was so appreciated during COVID, that Conner has made giving his “tradition,” bringing birthday treats to first responders. This year Connor visited the Summit Police Department. The deputy called Connor's family to convey how touched they were by his kindness after a tough call the previous evening. ENROLL IN KM 4 AND 5K NOW!!! The open enrollment window closes on 4/30 and it is important to apply and secure a spot before it re-opens in summer, as enrollment is first-come, first-served. We also need district residents to enroll in 4K so we can meet your choice of schools and accommodate wrap care requests. There is no need to enroll in KM 5K if your child was in KM 4K this year. Kindergarten in the Kettle Moraine school district is truly a magical experience and we have many wonderful options to meet the needs of young learners and their busy families. Our 4/5K programming builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning and connects families to our school district. Students Experience Hands-On Learning
Mrs. Wroblewski's and Mrs. Kobus' seventh grade Discover and Navigate science students got the unique experience of dissecting pig hearts with the guidance of an industry expert. Kiely Page sells cardiovascular devices for Boston Scientific and instructs physicians on how to use stents and other devices. Kiely taught students the anatomy of the heart, blood flow, main arteries, and the nuances of cardiology. Students were excited to learn how to dissect, touch all four chambers, identify the aorta and vena cava, and gain insights into various medical careers. We are so thankful for Ms. Kiely Page's expertise and for her mom, Mrs. Kelly Page, for connecting us with her. This was great practice for students as they learn body systems through labs, interactive demos, models, readings, and now dissection!
KMMS BAND CONCERTS!!!
Our middle school band students held two very successful concerts last week. The growth of our musicians over the course of this year has been incredible to hear and the crowds were fantastic!

Partnering with Local Businesses
Jacob Marcheske served as a student panelist at the GPS Education Partners South Regional Appreciation breakfast. He participated in a program that connects local businesses with schools in work-based learning opportunities. Jacob's formal graduation from GPS will take place May 30th, and he has already secured a position with, Wenthe-Davidson Engineering Co. as a maintenance technician! Jacob will also be attending WCTC in the fall to attain additional education and credentialing.

State Solo and Ensemble Awards
Several KM soloists and ensembles earned Exemplary Awards at the State Festival held at UW Whitewater. The Exemplary Performance Recognition Project expands recognition of outstanding performers at the WSMA State Solo & Ensemble Festival. State festival adjudicators select the most exceptional performances at each of the festival campuses. Tennis and Pickleball Opportunities: The Kettle Moraine Tennis Association (KMTA) along with Community Education has many spring and summer opportunities for tennis and pickleball for youth through adult. Pickleball-Summer session AM or PM M-F, 6/10-8/2 The open pickleball paddle band is your ticket to playing pickleball on the new KMHS pickleball courts!
Men and women recreational tennis leagues -June-August This league will be organized by KMTA volunteers, and you will receive a schedule with possible bye weeks, depending on the number of registrants. Singles and doubles will be available, with a heavy emphasis on doubles to maximize court time. Balls will be provided
Adult Tennis Drill and Play - Men and Women players will be provided with instruction from tennis professionals and assistants on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at KMHS. The format for these sessions includes an hour of instruction on technique and strategy, followed by an hour of competitive play
Youth Tennis Academy-Eligible players (ages 10 – 18) will be divided by ability level and specific lesson plans will be modified to meet the player’s ability. Lessons will be progressive, consisting of technique instruction, drills, conditioning, and competition.
Cheerleading Fall of 2024: Register now for Jr. Laser and Little Laser Cheerleading for the fall. Grades K-8 are encouraged to be part of the KM Cheer program. Grades K-5 practice once per week. Girls Basketball Camp: For grades 3-8 will be offered June 10-13 with Coach Stranc. Join the high school coaching staff and players for a week long camp focusing on many offensive and defensive fundamentals with plenty of competitions.
KM Girls Basketball Club offers State Champ Camp: Players who want to bring their game to the next level and learn what it takes to become a State Champ. This will be an advanced level camp for all age levels so previous experience with competitive basketball is strongly recommended.
K-2 Girls Basketball Camp:Coaches by Mr. J. Bestor, with help from high school and middle school players. Campers will have fun practicing basic basketball skills with daily skill challenges.

Adult Conversational Spanish-Live Virtual: Are you seeking opportunities to practice speaking Spanish? If so, this is the class for you!
