The scene Friday was incredible and a bit emotional. Bringing the stadium project to fruition took a great deal of work from our leadership, coaches, and most importantly, our maintenance and facilities team. Celebrating our sponsors, watching the ribbon cutting, and sharing that excitement with the crowd, felt like the exclamation point at the end of a very long sentence.
With the community support, music/light show, fireworks, and a resounding Lasers win, it was hard to pinpoint one thing that made the evening so special. Then it hit me. My biggest takeaway was the excitement of the young people who were participating in youth night. They owned the sidelines with our dance and cheer teams, practicing their moves and learning to work together. They sprinted up and down the field, imagining they might one day be running to that perfect end zone catch. Their energy and involvement give us all hope that the level of success we are currently experiencing could continue for generations. This issue of Laser Focus belongs to THEM!
