TREAT YOUR TEACHERS

In the beginning of the year, we asked families to help stock the "woot woot wagon" that comes for teachers and staff every Tuesday. It's just a little something - a soda, a coffee, a small sized candy -  to get them through the first part of the week.

It has been SO successful and SO appreciated by staff that we are running low on supplies to stock it. If you are able to show our teachers and staff some extra love by purchasing one of these items from our wish list, we would greatly appreciate it.

Alternatively, if you are a cooking or baking type and would like to share some of your goodies with us, we would gladly accept those treats as well. Just email Mrs. Schultz to arrange the best time or day for you.

Let's get these teachers through the craziness of the Holiday Season!

FRIENDSGIVING IS COMING UP

Friendsgiving is an annual tradition at Wales Campus where we come together to celebrate fall, and give back to our community in different ways.  This year, we are collecting donations to give to a few different dog rescues in the area. Donations can be brought to the front vestibule. Thanks for considering!

More information about Friendsgiving and our field trips that day went out on SeeSaw from Mrs. Cavanaugh. Please check for that message to learn more.

ART ROOM NEWS

Christmas Art at the Pabst

Wales Elementary and  KM Explore are partnering with the Pabst Mansion for the 2025 holiday season! Every student in the building has had a part in helping to create this special project.

Former KM art teachers Cyndee Pinchard and Keelin McMurtagh are leading a collaborative installation at the mansion featuring creations from Wales and Explore students.  This is the first time EVER that the mansion has incorporated the work of children in its popular holiday season!

The installation, called Elsbeths Woodland Dreams, was designed for Elsbeth, the only child that grew up in the mansion.

The dreams of a child are brought to life in this fanciful woodland winter scene!

The installation opens to the public on November 20th and is open throughout the 2025 holiday season. Added bonus- Students get free admission to the mansion when they visit with family during the installation.

Dousman Art Night

Students from UW-Whitewater's Early Childhood Education program will be at Dousman Elementary to offer art projects for students to do. This is their final exam for their Art Methods class. Students will have opportunities to choose from over 18 different projects. They can make as many as they can during this event. Students in the past have often gifted their projects to friends and families for the holidays. We hope to see you there.

This year's Arts Night will be Wednesday evening, December 3 from 5:30-7:00pm in our Gym.

COUGH DROPS AT SCHOOL

As the fall and winter months approach, unfortunately cold and flu season often accompanies this time of the year. Please remember all over the counter medication a student requires during the school day needs a medication authorization. There is NO need for a Dr signature as long the dosing is inline with the manufaturuers' recommended dose.

When sending cough drops, cough medicine or other OTC products; please remember the following things to send into the health room with them:

1) Signed medication authorization

2) Medication in its original, unopened package.

Please reach out to the health room with any questions.
