CAMPUS COMMUNICATOR

Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in "Santa in a Shoebox" for Friendsgiving this year. Our donations are being driven RIGHT NOW to a public school in Swannanoa, NC which was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene.

We were able to collect and pack 494 student boxes AND 43 staff boxes among the 5 KM elementary schools. This means that EACH STUDENT in the North Carolina elementary school will be going home with a shoebox full of gifts this Holiday season!!

What an amazing effort put forth by all involved. We truly are "KM Kind".

The LASER LOCKER is fully stocked for Holiday Shopping!! The Laser Locker is located at the KM High School.

Store hours (including a Saturday!) are posted on the KM website and below.  This is a great time to redeem a gift card if you have one.  Free Elf Delivery Service is available for Secret Santa gifting.

BRRR! It's Cold Outside!

Please be sure to check the weather and send your children with appropriate outdoor clothing each day. We have a some spares of warm outerwear but once they are gone, the kids must use what they have brought to school.

If you are in need of any outerwear for your student and are unable to provide it, please call the front office and we can make sure you get some. Thanks!

With the wetter and colder weather often comes wet and cold kids coming in from recess. We kindly ask the following -

Please make sure your students have 1 change of clothes in their backpacks or cubbies - including socks

To accommodate students who do not have a change of clothes, the health room is accepting the following donations -

• Waterproof gloves/mittens

• Girls leggings sizes 5-16

• Boys joggers sizes 5-16

• Long sleeve shirts

  
  

The 2025-2026 school year calendar has been created and posted for all to view on our district website. You can find it here.

In accordance with our student handbook, families MUST OPT IN to school directories. If you would like your student's info to be available to other students for play dates, birthday invitations, etc, you must fill out the form below. Please fill out one form per child. 

If you would like access to the collected information, you must email your classroom teacher or Mrs. Schultz at schultzr@kmsd.edu and ask for the directory, as it cannot be published on any public sites. The spreadsheet you will receive is a live document and will be updated as parents fill out the form.

Once again, you MUST fill out this form for Wales or this form for Explore in order to be included in the directory.

After it is completed, email Mrs. Schultz or your classroom teacher to ask for a copy of the directory.

Jr Laser Softball Clinic

The KM High School Softball coaches and players are offering a clinic for softball players U8 to U-16 on Mondays in December.  Bring your own gear, helmet, bat and glove.  For further information visit www.kmsd.edu/communityed.

Weight Training Grades 5-8
