We are in the home stretch of the 25/26 school year! We wanted to highlight a few whole school events for you below so they are on your radar. Extra details on these events can be found below or in teachers' communications as the year wraps up.

Please note this is not a conclusive list. There are still more individual field trips and events that classes will partake in as the year comes to a close. Keep a close on the newsletters that your teachers send out weekly to get info on those specific happenings.

It's THIS FRIDAY - the MOST FUN night of year!

Great news! We are extending pre-orders of tickets through tomorrow afternoon! You can either order tickets ahead of time (HIGHLY recommend!) or get tickets at the door. If you are in need of an extra form, you can either print the one below or email Mrs. Schultz to get a new one sent home.

We STILL need volunteers! We can't make Family Fun Night a success without your help!

TALENT SHOW TRYOUTS

Talent Show Tryouts for Explore's talent show will be held after school on Wednesday, May 14th.
Talent Show Tryouts for Wales's talent show will be held after school on Thursday, May 15h.

A sign up genius will come out soon for both Wales and Explore.

For both tryouts, please come prepared to show your talent off. We are looking for all sorts of talent! Some examples of past talents - box jumping, bottle flipping, singing, joke telling, dancing, magic tricks, hockey stick skills, air guitaring, piano playing, reciting the numbers of pi...

The possibilities are endless and so are the amount of talented kids in this building, so come out and show us what you've got!

SPOTLIGHT ON YOU! - THANK YOU!

A HUGE thank you to ALL the people that helped make our Teacher/Staff appreciation everything that it was this year.

Two moms in particular, Natasha Kostrewa and Brittany Frye put together something for staff to enjoy every day along with outstanding raffle prizes. We felt spoiled, loved, and appreciated by ALL who made this day special by donating, creating, hauling, and setting up all of the things.

A special HUGE thank you goes out to Kassi Farrell of Kneed Wellness for coming in and giving the most fabulous chair massages ever.

WALES AND EXPLORE FAMILY DIRECTORIES

In accordance with our student handbook, families MUST OPT IN to school directories. If you would like your student's info to be available to other students for play dates, birthday invitations, etc, you must fill out the form below. Please fill out one form per child. 

If you would like access to the collected information, you must email your classroom teacher or Mrs. Schultz at schultzr@kmsd.edu and ask for the directory, as it cannot be published on any public sites. The spreadsheet you will receive is a live document and will be updated as parents fill out the form.

Once again, you MUST fill out this form for Wales or this form for Explore in order to be included in the directory.

After it is completed, email Mrs. Schultz or your classroom teacher to ask for a copy of the directory.

Summer Academy

Fall 2025 Youth boys and girls volleyball season

Boys and girls entering  grades 5-8 in the fall of 2025 are eligible to participate in the league.  Practices are held twice per week August-October with league play on the weekends in the GMYVB League.  Tryouts will be held 5/15/25 and 5/19/25 from 6:30-8:30pm at the KMHS Gym.

You must be registered in order to tryout.

Students entering grades 1-4 in the fall of 2025 are encouraged to join our mini league on Friday nights for volleyball instruction, fun and games.

Tennis and Pickleball Opportunities

The Kettle Moraine Tennis Association (KMTA) along with Community Education has many spring and summer opportunities for tennis and pickleball for youth through adult. All registrations are online through KM Community Education at https://kmsd.revtrak.net/rwcommunityeducation/


Pickleball-This year the all-access yearly pass will be your ticket to KMTA pickleball in 2025. Open pickleball will be offered various days/times Spring-Fall of 2025.

Men and women recreational tennis leagues -June-August This league will be organized by KMTA volunteers, and you will receive a schedule with possible bye weeks, depending on the number of registrants.  Singles and doubles will be available, with a heavy emphasis on doubles to maximize court time.  Balls will be provided

Adult Tennis Drill and Play - Men and Women players will be provided with instruction from tennis professionals and assistants on Tuesday evenings at KMHS. WE will have two levels this year, beginner and intermediate/advanced. Each lesson will focus on a particular stroke/strategy that will be implemented into rally drills/games.

Youth Tennis Academy-Eligible players (ages 10 – 18) will be divided by ability level and specific lesson plans will be modified to meet the player’s ability.  Lessons will be progressive, consisting of technique instruction, drills, conditioning, and competition.  The program runs Monday-Thursday 8:30-10:20am. June 10-July 31. Enrollment is limited.

Spanish Summer Camp

Students in grades 1-5 are offered to blast off into a Spanish adventure that is out of this world.  While exploring the wonders of the universe through astronaut role-plays and rocket-theme activities.  This virtual camp will be held June 23-26 from 4:15-5pm.  

Adult Live Virtual Spanish for Travelers

Embark on an exciting journey through the Spanish-speaking world-right from your home.  This interactive, beginner-friendly LIVE virtual course is designed for adults eager to learn practical Spanish.  Join us Tuesdays in June from 6-7pm.

Adult Live Virtual Beginner Spanish Boost

Kickstart your Spanish journey with this engaging summer course, perfect for beginners.  Designed for those with little to no experience, you’ll learn essential vocabulary, basic grammar and practical phrases for everyday conversations.  Join us Wednesdays in June from 6-7pm.

Zumba Gold

  • ZUMBA GOLD®   is perfect for active older adults, those new to exercise, those looking for a lower impact choice and those coming back into the fitness routine who are looking

  • for a Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity.

  • How It Works

This  class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered, feeling strong and successful.
