Wales Elementary/KM Explore
Wales Elementary teacher assignments are now available on Infinite Campus!
From the main menu on the left, click on Schedule. Then, click on the students name or picture in the upper right hand corner to navigate through students. Once the schedule comes up you should be able to see your child's classroom teacher for the 25/26 school year!
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
First day of school for Wales 5-year-old Kindergarten will be Thursday, August 28th.
First day of school for KM Explore's First-year Navigators (5-year-old Kindergarten) will be Tuesday, September 2nd - same as the rest of Explore.
All other students' first day will be Tuesday, September 2nd.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
School supply lists for both Wales and Explore for the 25/26 school year can be found on our website! Supplies listed as being purchased from the school store will be available at the end of August during Great Start Conferences.
Annual Registration for 25/26 School Year
If you have not done so...Annual registration for the 25/26 school year is a process that must be done ANNUALLY for ALL families (including families that have just enrolled in our district.)
This is an important process in which you keep your communication data updated as well as your emergency contacts and your permissions for kids to do things such as get their picture taken or participate in field trips.
Great Start Conferences
Great Start Conferences are a time for you and your learner to see their new classroom, meet teachers, drop off supplies, learn more about what our campus has to offer this year, and get your school picture taken!
Wales 5-year-old Kindergarten, please sign up for a Great Start Conference time here for Mrs. Hoffland and here for Mrs. Peters.
Wales Grades 1-5; there is no need to sign up for a time - just stop in at one of the times below, and partake in the fun!
Please note that the photographer will be on hand for the entirety of the Great Start Conferences so you can choose to have your pictures taken before or after your conference(s).

Come join us for some fun and friendship on Wednesday, August 27th from 5:30 - 7:00pm!
What is it?
A fun get-together! See last year's school friends and meet new ones! Mingle with parents while the kids play on the playground and partake in different teacher-lead activities.
Food Available!
Sheila Smith of Keller Williams Realty will be grilling burgers in exchange for a donation to the Oasis Foundation which helps to tutor some of our students. Ms. Balzer and Mrs. Zeirke will be passing out popcorn for free as well!
Can I bring the whole family?
Absolutely! This is a great time for ALL of our families - older and younger siblings included - to get involved in our school community.
Let's all get together for some fun and start this year off right!
Medications in Health Room
As we approach the beginning of the school year, it is requested that any medication that is to be taken at school must have a new medication authorization form on file each school year.
Over the counter medications do not need a physician's signature unless requesting to give more than the recommended dose.
The school district does have ibuprofen, Tylenol, and Benadryl on hand if you are interested in having your child receive a dose as needed, you must also complete a stock medication authorization form linked above (2nd page listed).

In accordance with our student handbook, families MUST OPT IN to school directories. If you would like your student's info to be available to other students for play dates, birthday invitations, etc, you must fill out the form below. Please fill out one form per child.
If you would like access to the collected information, you must email your classroom teacher or Mrs. Schultz at schultzr@kmsd.edu and ask for the directory, as it cannot be published on any public sites. The spreadsheet you will receive is a live document and will be updated as parents fill out the form.
Once again, you MUST fill out this form for Wales or this form for Explore in order to be included in the directory.
After it is completed, email Mrs. Schultz or your classroom teacher to ask for a copy of the directory.
